Welcome Jo...I just wrote an essay about how I was smiling so big right now that no matter how I tried to wipe it off it just kept getting bigger.
But then in my excitement forgot to post it.
So glad you made it here...Kim runs a tight ship and I am proud to be a part of it. Monkeesfan reminds me that good music and loyal fans are forever .

Kora got me yaking about my rock and roll memories. I will always remember when the shows were over we would not leave...but stand there stomping our feet and clapping our hands in unison or holding our lighters in our hand. We would yell at the top of our lungs...
JO...JO....JO...JO...JO Or something like that...until they finally appeared!
Then we would all settle down and hang out in the community lounge and talk about whatever!

Now that I finally found my way back, I've got a big ole smile on my face too.

Sorry it took me so long to show up again. As some of you know, three months ago I was diagnosed with diabetes and sent to a day long visit at the nuclear cardiologist. Luckily, it turns out I hadn't had the heart attack they thought I might have had (from my EKG). Oh yeah, and the high blood pressure. It's doing well and I almost forget about it.

It's taken me a while to adapt to my new realities and there's a very sharp learning curve when your first diagnosed with diabetes. I'm doing well now. I've lost weight. Exercised a lot more. Relearned how to eat.

Now it's time for me to get back to the music. I do so love the music.

It's so good to hear you say "God Bless" again.

More good news....my mom made it home from the nursing home today. She's been there since Thanksgiving recovering from surgery. She's been diabetic for about 35 years and they had to go in and pin her foot and ankle. She was non weight bearing for a very long time and then there was therapy.

Now she's walking again...slowly and with her walker but it's a very good thing.

Yep, Jolene is my real name and boy did I get teased when Dolly had a hit with "Jolene". I was 13 then and had the auburn hair and eyes of green. lol
