Uh Oh, and here I am a day late. : ) Great news though, they called this morning and my car is finally, finally repaired. Doing the happy dance. : ) Glad they finally got your car fixed Jo. I just received a bottle of touch-up paint for mine that I ordered in April. |

The last two days - exhausting. Hot and humid, and Friday I had to travel some 150 miles west on a medical delivery, then drive back 150 to pass off some checks for other drivers. Today I brought back some paperwork to HQ, then after resting I worked my night job at the supermarket. That's a long day...you must have been exhausted. Plus the heat. |

I just received a bottle of touch-up paint for mine that I ordered in April. Sheesh Miranda....seems like car parts are really backed up now. Which is ironic because the last economic indicators showed that most of the little bit of increased spending in the latest reports came from car parts. Not sure that's really an indicator that people are spending more...seems more of an indication to me that they're trying to fix what they already own ...plus all the recalls. While I was waiting on the new clutch kit for my car, there were 40 other people also in line waiting for just my service rep. They have 4 full time service reps at the dealership I go too and who knows how many Ford dealerships in Houston. Just for my rep though...40 people that month times $500 for each kit....that's $20,000 in parts and that's just the one rep in one dealership. Plus the airbags being recalled. I'm not surprised there's an increase in car part sales now but like I said, I'm not seeing as people deciding to buy more just yet. |

I'm still feeling a little fatigued from the weekend. I can imagine. You've had a nonstop schedule and all that time driving. We need to talk to those rainnmaking girls and see if maybe they can take a break for just a tad.  I love 'em but you keep getting poured on and what has a 90% chance of become Tropical Storm Bill is going to flood us again in the next 36 hours. Landfall is predicted tomorrow morning around 8 a.m. ...probably south near Corpus Christi but we'll be on the dirty side of the storm. Yesterday they called an ambulance for my mom (she lives in a nursing home). They had her in surgery 3 hours later and she came through just fine. She's in ICU now but maybe moved to a regular room tomorrow. She has an assortment of medical issues. This time she had a colostomy. Last year they took one of her legs. She's been diabetic since the 1970's and lost most of her eyesight a couple of decades ago. It's a cumulative thing but she's stable for now. |

Thanks Mike. My mom has had a lot of surgeries and it takes her some time to get back on track but I'm sure she will again. They're being cautious since she has trouble with infections. The doctor said they'd probably add a protein drip later today.

I feel like I should be building an ark here! Out of the last 12 days - we have had 9-10 of mostly rain or partial days of rain. It's raining right now - but supposed to stop soon and be about 79F today.

Hello from the UK, here in Lofthouse West Yorkshire the weather has been fine and humid - looks as if it might rain a little but I am hoping not. As I have not been on here for a while I would like to say I do hope you are all keeping well and happy
