Meds for pain for your injuries?
No meds for my depression and anxiety… I refuse pain pills for my back or anything else. My wife was on OxyContin for over 25 years… even had a waiver from the insurance company to continue getting it… that is rare. When she went to the hospital for the last time they cut her off completely… so she had to sit there for weeks going through withdrawals and not able to speak. When I confronted the Director about giving her pain pills she looked at me like I was a dope head... Compassion means nothing to some people. So when I was offered pain pills and refused them the doctors again looked at me funny. I am sure that I looked funny to the doctors… |

You’ve talked about your wife’s medical struggles over the years. I know she had a rough road.
Oxy has become such a political issue that people who need it are penalized. It stinks that they decided to have her go cold turkey and she had to detox when things were at their hardest. I’m so sorry.

The worst part about this whole thing is that I recorded everything to the point of horror on my phone. So much so that I had to get a new iPhone. It is absolutely horrible how this countries journey for progression leaves older folks just kicked to the curb. I really need to just close this chapter of life and quit regretting everything that happened the past couple of years. Everyone that took advantage of me when I was down… which is just about everyone I guess. I forgive them and never want anyone to endure the hell that I did… I think it has forged to me into something that the lord will be proud of. There is so much pain in the world these days… I wish I had a Magic cure that would soothe peoples pain… But all I have is music… And I'm good with that.❤️ |

You have such a good and generous heart and have given so much to so many people for so long.
It's time for you to heal and I can tell you've started the process.
I'm good with having the music too. It soothes the soul.

This is such a tragedy !!! I'm soooo deeply sorry, Michael. I know that pain all too well. I don't know how to put into words all these feelings.... I could never be a writer of any kind. Sending much love and healing prayers, as late as I am. God Speed.
