Oh dear my little grand daughter will be very sad when we break the news to her that April (the first horse she rode at riding lessons) has been put to rest.
She was having her lesson on April last Saturday and both Val & I thought the horse looked in lots of pain. I went and said something and they brought Lol off April & put her on Brian.
April was 32yr old and a fab horse, she loved the kids and the kids loved her. Lauren was the last person to ride her.
Thankfully Lauren is coming to see Auntie Miki with us after school so hopefully that will soften the blow for her as Miki has horses, dogs, smakes, Parrot etc etc etc - The family Zoo lol.

well Lauren came home from School yesterday with a beautiful heart she had made in sewing lesson and had embroidered "April" on the front.
Today will be the telling time when she goes for her lesson and won't be able to see April, hope she is not too upset

Mary - so sorry to hear of the loss of April's horse. How is she doing? That must have been hard for her as she is still very young. Give her a hug for me - and I hope she makes it through this okay. That was a beautiful thing for her to make - the heart with April's name - she is an amazing young lady!

thank you Kim, yes yesterday was very hard we had tears on and off all morning and still very quiet. Came to the time for riding and both Lauren and Alice (this girl had been riding April for 16 years) were heartbroken. Lauren was given Paddy who she has ridden before and she likes him very much so that softened the blow a little.

Hi there, yes I will have a go at putting some on they are both growing up too quickly.
We are taking them away for the weekend on Friday returning home Monday so guess I will be whacked on Tuesday lol. Then school breaks up for 2 weeks on the 30th March for Easter so I will be ready for a break after that.
Rog & I go away for a long weekend on the 26th April and we will both be ready for it.

Thanks.
They were babies two minutes ago - ten minutes from now they'll be having babies.
I've already lost track of the grandnephews and grandnieces now in our family - my eldest brother's son had another recently.
