This instrumental was performed around 1958 by young George Harrison for local group The Quarry Men, who just happened to have signed on Harrison's schoolmate Paul McCartney - it got George into what would become The Beatles

At a July 1957 Liverpool church carnival a local group called The Quarry Men performed, fronted by a youngster named John Winston Lennon. A neighbor from Allerton named James Paul McCartney wondered why Lennon was playing banjo chords on a guitar and introduced himself to the group; after being dismissive initially (due to the 19-month age differential) Lennon was won over by young McCartney's skill on the church piano but became fast friends when McCartney perfected a cover of this Eddie Cochran rocker.
