We've had rain since November...I think the drought is losing its grip. Thank Gosh. It sure took it's time losing it's grip this time around. They had a really bad fire in Oklahoma last week that crossed the border in Kansas. My sister was a good 100 miles away from it but the smoke had blown where she lives and it was everywhere. Then they woke up on Easter morning with two inches of snow...which helped finish putting out the fire.

I've also had a rash on my arms the last month that looks to finally be going away. Also have another cold - coughing deep lately - giving me a headache. Yuck. That's miserable. Hope you are feeling better very soon Mike.

Sunday morning we went out the door to go to church and there was a sign on our front porch which said "You have been eggdd. There are a dozen eggs in your yard. Please don't be distressed that one of them are empty. Jesus is risen. Happy Easter."
What a sweet thing for one of our neighbors to do.
Life has been normal here, which is always a blessing.
Been thinking about new music lately but haven't gotten around to looking to see if there's any out that I want.

No we don't Jo. This year has been crazy though. We literally had no winter until beginning of March and then it seems like all hell broke loose and we got it all within a few weeks! They are calling for more cold and snow over the next few days. I'm hoping mother nature is playing a bad April Fools joke and we don't get it.

Kim, I hope the bad weather misses you tomorrow and for the rest of the season. The weather has been so mild this winter here too. Usually the trees lose their leaves in December but this year they were blowing off the trees every time we had a windy day in the past month. It's time for new leaves and the old ones are still falling off. Really odd. Today I'm doing housework. I have the rugs in the washer now and then it's scrubbing floors and all sorts of exciting housework type things for me. I live in the fast lane, I tell ya. I do have the new JD Robb/Nora Roberts book from the library. The latest installment of what Eve and Rourke are up to.

What ever gave you the idea the California drought is fake? Good to hear the Belgium family is safe. The drought remark was a joke in reference to the rain that's hitting here and elsewhere in force lately.

There's Bluebonnets everywhere around us, but ours in our yard was not near as thick as they have been in the past. I think the reason could be we had a real heavy rain when they were going to seed and it washed a lot of the them away. We have almost 2 acres and our yard slopes a little from one side to the other and it looked like a rolling river. That's the only explanation I could blame it on. In the past few years our front yard was almost completely covered with them and the back yard was about 1/2 to 3/4 covered. They were BEAUTIFUL! Hoping in a couple of years or so we'll have more!

Yesterday I did my usual shift at the food pantry.
I did get a new (to me) cd in the mail yesterday. Barbara Mandrell "This Time I Almost Made It". It reminded me how much I love/loved Barbara. She was always so good.
This collection of Columbia songs was with Billy Sherrill and before she really became the megastar she was.

How much rain have you gotten Mike?
Yesterday morning at 4 a.m. it decided to storm here and it was loud enough to wake me up. I always like rain so it was nice except for the hail part.
