Joey+Rory, 'His & Hers' Out in July, TV Show in the Works
Joey+Rory have always had a knack for naming their records. Their debut, Life of a Song, got its title from an album track that likens life to a song that "lives forever and never dies." The next was cleverly titled Album Number Two, and now their third, His & Hers, alludes to the couple's decade of martial bliss.
"In all of our live shows, he's always done half the singing and I do half," Joey says. "So we just felt like that was the right direction to go with this album -- let it really be more of what we are together, and fill it full of great songs."
Rory may have written or co-written a great deal of project -- which comes out July 31 -- but each song has to fulfill Joey's requirements: "It has to be genuine, it has to be honest, it has to be sincere."
Fans will get to hear songs from the upcoming album when the duo's weekly variety show, "The Joey+Rory Show," launches on RFD-TV. The first 13 episodes were shot at the couple's farm in Tennessee and in their small town community. It will include live performances, recipes from their restaurant, Marcy Jo's Mealhouse, and behind-the-scenes forays into their life.
"We don't have a TV, partly because it's hard to find good family programs to watch anymore. So rather than complain about it, we're hoping to create some good programming everyone can enjoy," Rory explains. "Just like the records you make, you never know if this show will reach hundreds of people, or millions --either way, the journey together is extraordinary."
His & Hers is out July 31, while the airdate for "The Joey+Rory Show" is forthcoming.

Joey + Rory’s Joey Feek Stops Cancer Treatment After Devastating DiagnosisBy Gayle Thompson October 23, 2015 8:45 AM theboot.com/joey-and-rory-joey-feek-stops-cancer-treatment/Joey and Rory Feek, who make up the duo Joey + Rory, have received some absolutely devastating news: Although Joey Feek recently completed chemotherapy to help fight her Stage IV cervical cancer, her cancer has returned again … and they have decided to cease additional treatments. “Sometimes there just aren’t enough surgeries — or doctors — or chemotherapies — or prayers,” Rory Feek writes on the couple’s blog, This Life I Live. “And you have to wipe the tears from your cheeks and say the words that you were hoping to never have to say … ‘Enough.’ “Joey had been feeling pretty good overall the last week or two and was ready to start the next phase of treatment,” Rory Feek continues. “This whole thing has been very hard on her, but she knows it’s all part of getting better, so she’s been a trooper and has stayed incredibly positive through it all. She’d done everything she was supposed to do. Followed every instruction that she’d been given and has taken every hard knock that has come her way, and got back up and kept fighting.” However, recent tests revealed that the results of Joey Feek’s first round of chemo were not good. “Before the next round of chemo was to start on this past Thursday [Oct. 22] in Atlanta, the doctors scheduled a CT scan to be done the day before,” Rory Feek explains. “This was her first major scan since before she had the big surgery in July. So the goal was to see how her body has responded, after the removal of the all the cancer and the first five weeks of treatment. To make sure that there were no signs of the cancer still around. “But there was … ‘I’m sorry to have to tell you this…’ That’s how the conversation began.” According to Joey Feek’s recent tests, two quarter-sized tumors have already appeared in the same area that the doctors had been treating aggressively with chemotherapy and radiation. Additionally, several more tumors have appeared in her abdomen. The sad news has caused the couple to stop all medical treatments and instead return to their Tennessee farm. “We came home,” Rory Feek writes. “Not to die. But to live. To put our hands in each other’s and sit out on the back porch and watch the sun set as our sweet little baby girl plays on a blanket in front of us. To bask in the glory of the beautiful life He’s blessed us with and try not to question why we can’t have more of it together. And why He is allowing this to happen.” The Feeks, who are parents to a one-year-old daughter, Indiana, admit that they are devastated by the latest development. “To say my wife is broken-hearted is an understatement,” Rory Feek acknowledges. “And to tell you that we’re not scared would be a lie. This is the kind of thing that happens to somebody else, not us. But then I have to remember … we are somebody else to somebody else.” The singer-songwriter concludes by asking for the prayers of their fans and friends who have walked this journey with them. “One of the mantras that I always try to live by is to have incredibly ‘high hopes, but low expectations,'” he says. “So, even though we know we’ve reached the end of what medicine can do — and while we prepare for what God has put in front of us … Joey and I will continue to pray for a miracle. “We ask for your prayers, too. For a miracle,” Rory Feek closes. “And even more so, for peace with His decision. That is enough.” The Boot continues to extend our heartfelt prayers to the couple.

I guess everyone threw a prayer vigil in Joeys and Rorys hometown. That is never a good sign...hopefully it is ...but not usually.
Time must be running out for her...this story is sadder than a sad sad country song.
Prayers are strong from this hillbilly to Joey Rory and Indy and everyone involved.

theboot.com/joey-feek-hospice-care/Joey Feek Enters Hospice CareBy Angela Stefano November 9, 2015 In a new post on Joey + Rory‘s blog, Rory Feek has revealed the latest sad news in his wife’s terminal cancer diagnosis: Joey Feek has entered hospice care. Rory Feek explains that the decision was made after a 4 a.m. trip to a hospital in Muncie, Ind., on Friday (Nov. 6). Joey Feek has been in the hospital since Friday and will be taken home, where hospice workers will care for her, on Monday (Nov. 9). “Her pain had become too much to bare,” he writes. “A few hours later, the doctors told us that the pain was from the cancer tumors continuing to grow and become inflamed, and we need to concentrate now on helping her be comfortable. “Not the answer we hoped for …,” Feek adds, “but the answer He has given us.” On Oct. 23, Rory Feek informed fans, via his blog, that his wife’s first round of chemotherapy and radiation treatments for Stage IV cervical cancer did not help; rather, two quarter-sized tumors have already appeared in the same area that the doctors had been treating, and several more tumors have appeared in her abdomen. In light of that sad news, the Feeks stopped all medical treatments, returned to their Tennessee farm and canceled all of their Farmhouse Concerts that were scheduled for November and December. They have been spending time in Joey Feek’s hometown, visiting with family, friends and other loved ones. “After a series of different medications that didn’t seem to touch the pain — heavy doses of morphine brought Joey sweet relief,” Rory Feek continues. “Hospice is arranged, and a hospital bed will be delivered … We’ll have a play area on the carpet nearby — close enough for her to watch Indy play, and for Indy to turn and make sure her mama can see her.” Rory Feek also shares a beautiful moment between his wife and their daughter that took place at the hospital on Sunday (Nov. 8). “I sat her down in front of her mama, and they smiled and played and loved each other the way that only mamas and their little ones can. Afterwards, when Indy got sleepy, Joey held her and sang “In the Garden” and other hymns as she softly stroked her silky-blonde hair,” Rory Feek recounts. “Perfect love filled that hospital room as we all held our breath and wiped our eyes.” Rory Feek also reveals that his wife completed a set of “recordable books” sent over by fans. “Joey’s hope is that our little one will be able to sit on my lap in days to come and turn pages and hear her mama reading to her,” he explains. “It was heartbreakingly beautiful to see and hear.” Ends Rory Feek, “Joey is at peace with where she is and where she’s going. So am I.”

I think it's wonderful that Joey is recording books for Rory to read to their daughter.
It's a terrible thing that Joey has so much pain.
