Georgette Jones was born to Country music royalty. The only daughter of the late George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Georgette deeply loved her parents, even performing with them from the early days of her childhood. Today (April 6th) marks the anniversary of Tammy Wynette’s untimely passing at the age of 55. Georgette Jones decided to record a special tribute song in her honor called I Hope You Knew, a poignant letter of reflection and gratitude that will truly touch your heart.

What a lovely tribute song. Georgette has a sweet voice and way.
I always think of Tammy at Easter. We were driving a uhaul across Mississippi and Alabama, moving to Texas, when the news on the radio was about Tammy passing. We got to Houston on Easter morning.
Tammy had such terrible health issues most of her adult life. She was gone too soon.
