I've always felt that Kurt Busch was a good driver, but I never did like him. I was an Earnhardt fan and the only drivers I have really liked since he died are Stewart and Harvick – so Lord knows I have nothing against aggressive driving. But there is just something about Kurt that has rubbed me the wrong way from day one. I remember in 2000, he drove in five races for Roush in that John Deere car. I think it was the last race of that season when Kurt wrecked practically every car on the track because he was being a smart@$$ and trying to show off. Everyone was majorly ticked off. Then he wrecked Dale Jr. two or three times until Junior's car was no longer drivable, and finally Daddy Dale went after Kurt after Junior took the car to the garage. Earnhardt came up behind Kurt and gave him a big shot in the rear. Kurt's car went completely sideways and he never lost control of it. Which showed early on what a good driver he was – because Earnhardt clearly intended to wreck him. Then I remember Kurt trying to mess with Earnhardt in the 2001 Daytona 500 and Earnhardt giving him the finger and sending him sailing through the grass. I SO wished Earnhardt hadn't died so he could have continued to give Kurt attitude adjustments as needed. LOL
Kurt has always been a jerk with no likable qualities. I don't agree with NASCAR taking him out of competition over allegations that never produced any real supporting evidence, but I think it's just a matter of time before Kurt gets in trouble again somehow. He simply can't get along with people on or or off the track.
Kyle has always been my pick of the Busch brothers. Actually I think he is a better driver than Kurt. But he's got attitude problems too. Or has had in the past.

The irony is even when he was innocent he was guilty - in the Trevor Bayne crash today it started when Kurt Busch was near a car; it may not have been contact that spun the other car out but Busch's presence started it anyway.

I didn't even watch the Talladega race. I probably won't pick up watching regularly again until this fall. Usually I watch the Daytona 500 and the first few after that, but then once the local dirt track racing starts I lose interest in NASCAR. I haven't watched a complete season since Earnhardt died.

I watched the 300 and the 500 and I wrote about it on another post on this board.
