Yes, it's based on the movie Fargo and is set in Minnesota like the movie was, but it's different characters telling a different story. The first season had Billy Bob Thornton in it and it was great. The second season has an all new cast and it's telling an all new story and it's great. It's probably my favorite now that Justified is over. Of course there will never be another show I love more than Jusiffied though.

I absolutely loved the movie Fargo.
I just checked and the series isn't on Netflix yet.
I don't think we get FX with our antenna.

If you loved the movie you will love the TV show. I went out and bought the movie after I started watching the TV show because I had never seen the movie before. I love it too.

I think maybe it is on Netflix because one of my Facebook friends said they we were binge watching season one. I figure they were watching it on Netflix unless they bought a DVD set. The second season continues to be great!

I just checked on my Netflix account and it said Fargo was unavailable to stream. We just have the streaming membership.
