I really could use some help figuring out a mystery artist I can't remember the name of. I came across a male artist that I found some songs I liked and can't remember the guy's name. He is not a top known artist and I had ever heard of before. There is a track on the album that is a story that he tells about what inspired him to start playing the guitar. The story goes that he was influenced by his grandfather who was killed in a car crash when he was younger. Due to a drunk driver, the grandfather was forced to swerve into oncoming traffic and had a head on collision with another car. The crazy part of the story is that the head on collision was with 2 other relatives. I think the singer's mom and dad actually. So a drunk driver forces the grandfather into another lane and then he hits the mom and dad (I think) and all 3 family members die in the same car accident. A very unique story so I'm hoping if anyone has heard it on the album they can direct me to the artist.
I appreciate the help. This has been driving me and my daughter crazy.
Thanks much

Hi Rich and welcome to the board. I'm drawing a complete blank on the song your asking about. It would be a really sad song. They always get to me.

Thanks much. Yes hopefully someone will know it. To clarify, it is actually not a song. Some great songs on the album though. The track is just a spoken story that this guy tells at the end of the album.

I have figured out the answer to my question and thought I would post since it is an interesting story. Mitch Rossell. He is the writer of various country songs, a great singer also but more known as a writer. He is the writer of songs such as Die a Happy Man and Wild Child. The story he tells on his album is how his grandfather was hit by a drunk driver and swerves, hitting another car which turns out to be a car with his dad and grandmother. All three relatives were killed in the accident. Crazy. Story is the last track on his album I Got Dressed up for This. Anyway, mystery solved. He is cool to listen to. I love listening to song writers singing their own songs. Check him out.

Thanks for the update Rich. I went to youtube and found this video for Mitch. As soon as I started watching it I thought, wait, that's my alarm clock on the nightstand.
