I think this second album from Brandy Clark is superb, even surpassing her impressive debut "12 Stories". On Big Day the sound is fuller, the production bigger, but this does not detract from the excellent songs, mostly dealing with the every day life of the every person, given a unusually smart take by Ms Clark. All the songs are great. Particular favourites of mine are the title cut, the mature breakup song "Love Can Go To Hell", the astute "Girl Next Door" & the moving "Since you've Gone To heaven" which is a poignant reflection on the death of a parent.

Moshe,
I have been so completely in love with Brandy's first album that it took a few times through for her second album to grow on me. Then I fell in love with it too.
She also wrote some songs on Jennifer Nettles new album.

Yes, it is good to see some new artistes coming up with a feel for traditional country, like Brandy and Chris Stapleton. Also the new "Forever Country" single is great for keeping the trad country in there!

Moshe, I'm in love with Holly Tucker's "You're in Texas" too.
