Can country music survive in today's day and age? This is the question I often ponder and wonder if you ever ponder the same?

I voted yes.
I haven't listened to the radio in several years now and tend to follow the same people I've long followed. Now and then I'll stumble along someone new I'll also really like.
There was an interesting article a day or so ago in the WSJ. Yellowstone is now so popular that it's a fashion trend to wear western wear again. After all these decades of the industry trying to get rid of artists wearing boots and cowboy hats the opposite has happened. Now people in NYC are wearing them.
I'm also looking forward to seeing Reba on Big Sky. We've been watching it but are still catching up to where she starts on the show. We've recently discovered C.J.Box and his books and tv series. Joe Pickett was really good too.
Western is in style again.

I ordered four seasons of Yellowstone on Amazon and binged watched it too .I see where Lainey Wilson and Ryan Bingham were wranglers... And singer songwriters on the side. Yes I admit that I have checked out everything there is to know about yellowstone and even follow a few Cowboys around. I'll be posting their words of wisdom from time to time. I had no idea that Sheridan Taylor was such a big deal in the cowboy world... I've always been a supporter of western music and Western swing bands.

Michael,
I've always been partial to western myself.
How about a bit of western I've been listening to lately.

I think I finally get it now… why are the songs of the West sound like they do… it's because of the huge expanses... These songs seem to travel well kinda like modern-day stage coach Rolling through the hilly east to the flat plains West. It seems that folks from the west are very tough... The lack of water hot sun and miles of sagebrush can do that to a person. Brennenee Leigh is so descriptive in her songwriting... But it really pulls you in to the world of western music and remind me yes with the help of western music Country music will survive.

I've loved Wylie for years. I have all his albums. He's a rancher as well as a singer.

The Roy and Clint video is sooo much fun. I never realized how much the two of them look alike. Yes I think there was chatter that Clint was Roy's long lost son… I definitely see the resemblance and wonder if it could be true. I got two autographed photographs of Roy and Dale... And Trigger. I had no idea that horses had such a good penmanship...So I guess stranger things happen.

Lol… who knew Trigger had such good penmanship. 👍😀 I used to love watching the Cisco kid. Here's a story that AI help me write... Roy Rogers was sitting at his desk, going through some paperwork when he heard the sound of hooves outside. He looked out the window and saw his trusty horse Trigger walking up to the door. Roy got up from his desk, walked over to the door, and let Trigger in. Trigger walked over to Roy's desk and nudged him with his head. Roy smiled and said, "What is it, boy? Do you want to do some work?" Trigger nodded his head and pawed the ground with his hoof. Roy knew what Trigger wanted. He wanted to sign autographs for his fans. Roy took out a picture of Trigger and handed it to Dale Evans, who was standing nearby. She held the picture while Trigger used his hoof to sign his name on it. Roy watched in amazement as Trigger signed his name. He had never seen anything like it before. Trigger was a smart horse, but he never realized that he could write. When Trigger finished signing the picture, Dale handed it to Roy. He looked at it and smiled. It was a beautiful picture of Trigger, and his signature was clear and legible. Roy thanked Dale and Trigger for their hard work and gave Trigger a carrot as a treat. Trigger nuzzled Roy's hand and walked back outside. Roy sat down at his desk and looked at the autographed picture. He knew that he had something special. Not only did he have a beautiful picture of Trigger, but he also had his signature. Roy knew that his fans would love it. Roy put the picture in a frame and hung it on the wall. He knew that it would be a great conversation starter whenever someone visited his office. Roy knew that he had the best friend in the world in Trigger, and he was grateful for everything that he did. From that day on, whenever Trigger came into Roy's office, he would sign autographs for his fans. Roy and Dale were always there to help, and they enjoyed every moment of it. They knew that they had something special, and they were proud to share it with the world.

Michael,
I'm thinking Trigger was related to Mr. Ed. : )
