Here is an artist who is kinda new… And kind of old. I know that Ira Dean hangs around the same folks that I would... As a matter fact all the folks from country musics 90s era are still hanging around and could probably use a little support. So enjoy the video and give a like if you like.

I really like all the cameo singers in the first video. Ira's doing deeper music these days.
Reaching into the past when he was in Trick Pony.

Thanks for the reminder of where Ira Dean originated from… I would've drawn a blank... I guess that'll be my research assignment for today finding out were the members of trick pony ended up. Who would've thought that I'd be sitting out here by the campfire playing good music to my best friends? Blessing are in the smallest of gestures.🙏

So I see where Heidi Newfield made her first mistake after trick pony split up. I think it was signing with curb records as you know most Artists that dealt with Mike curb kinda got the stink eye when curb records was sued. The music Quality harkens back to the 80s when music was made to feel plastic instead of authentic. I can hardly Wait till the songs over on this cut. n

This one will forever be my favorite Trick Pony song.
They had many fun songs. This one cuts deeper. Just as this one does. It was recorded just as Heidi was back from a very close death in her family and she cried all the way through recording it.

Not to venture too far away from Ira Dean & Trick Pony... Bonnie Raitt won song of the year at the 2023 Grammys just this last Sunday. It was the shocker of the night in my opinion ... And everyone else's did too as you can tell with their jaws dropped passed their bowtie. The moment took everyone's attention off the bejeweled and the crowd focused on this redheaded woman singing about John Prine. I absolutely love the moment when like a collective energy all the mall songwriters were remembered not only John Prine Billy Joe Shaver Charlie Daniels Jerry Jeff walker Joe Diffie and so many more. It also reminded me about what Grammys should be about art and remembrance recorded. recorded as a timeless ele damnment on our journeys.

Bonnie so deserved the award and she was so humble, gracious and real.
