Eric Church Sells Out Red Rocks Eric Church will take The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour under the blood red sky approximately 6,450 feet above sea level to perform at the infamous open-air Red Rocks Amphitheatre (Morrison, CO) for a sold-out crowd on May 19. This marks his twenty-first sold-out show on the tour, including his performance in New York City on Wednesday, March 14 at Hammerstein Ballroom. “It’s so surreal. I don’t know what the hell happened in a year and a half post-CHIEF [current RIAA Gold-certified album], but it’s great. My fans have a passion for this music, I have a passion for it and we’ve both believed in it, and this is what has happened,” Church told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer in a recent interview. He will also perform on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in support of his current single “Springsteen,” on Monday, March 19. The song is currently No. 20 on the Country Billboard chart after just six weeks — by far his fastest-rising radio single to-date. The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour, which kicked off on January 19 in Fort Smith, AR, is Church’s first-ever headlining arena tour, a giant step up since performing in rock bars just a year ago to roughly 2,000 fans on a good night. Now, Church’s shows average 7,500 tickets sold. The show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre follows a jam-packed spring tour schedule including stops in Tallahassee, FL, Las Vegas, NV, Columbus, OH, Lexington, KY, Nashville, TN and more. VIP Packages that include an intimate backstage performance and meet-and-greet are also available for purchase on the site. Eric Church Announces Release Date for First Live Album, ‘Caught in the Act’By Cory Stromblad tasteofcountry.com EMI Records Nashville Eric Church has been ‘Caught in the Act’ of releasing his first-ever live collection, due out April 9. Following a whirlwind 2012, the ‘Like Jesus Does’ singer pledged to step away from the spotlight this year. “I’m going to be out of the spotlight next year, really,” says Church. “I want to see if I can write some songs and see where we can go, musically. I’m looking forward to that. I really want to see where this thing goes.” As a result, the singer will release ‘Caught in the Act’ rather than a full-length studio album in 2013. Church recorded the 17-track collection at the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, Tenn. during the fall leg of his hugely-success Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour. The project features all of Church’s biggest hits, as well as fan-favorite selections from his CMA Album of the Year winner, ‘Chief.’ But when can his legions of loyal followers expect new original material from the singer? Not anytime soon, unfortunately. “I’m waiting on the creative process to tell me what’s next. I’m not going to be an artist who just makes records so the (label) can make its quarterly numbers or just to support a tour,” Church explains. “That’s the worst reason in the world to make music. I still think there has to be evolution… and it would be very disappointing for us to come to the point we’ve come to and not have that next record show great evolution, because I think the best bands and best artists do that.” Church may be stepping away from the spotlight, but the singer is certainly not falling off the radar completely. He will wrap the Canadian leg of his Blood, Sweet and Beers Tour this month before embarking on Kenny Chesney‘s No Shoes Nation Tour on March 16. Eric Church’s ‘Caught in The Act: Live’ Album Track Listing: 1. ‘Before She Does’ 2. ‘How ‘Bout You’ 3. ‘Drink in My Hand’ 4. ‘Over When It’s Over’ 5. ‘I’m Gettin’ Stoned’ 6. ‘Creepin” 7. ‘Keep On’ 8. ‘Hungover & Hard Up’ 9. ‘Sinners Like Me’ 10. ‘Country Music Jesus’ 11. ‘Pledge Allegiance to the Hag’ 12. ‘Jack Daniels’ 13. ‘Homeboy’ 14. ‘Lotta Boot Left to Fill’ 15. ‘Smoke a Little Smoke’ 16. ‘These Boots’ 17. ‘Springsteen’

Eric Church Reveals What ‘Springsteen’ Reminds Him Of and How He Really Feels About the Grammys
Eric Church is up for two Grammys this year – for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for his No. 1 smash ‘Springsteen.’ The ceremony broadcasts tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 10 at 8PM on CBS, and we don’t doubt that Church hopes to earn the Grammy gold. He revealed why ‘Springsteen’ is such a special song for him and how he really feels about Music’s Biggest Night.
“‘Springsteen’ is one of those songs that every night I sing it, I can remember being 16-years-old at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Charlotte, North Carolina – my first amphitheater experience up there on the lawn,” the singer, who co-wrote the song, said. “I can remember spreading that blanket down, and I can still see the faces of the people that were there with me; I still remember what the weather was like; I can still remember what the air smelled like, what the sky looked like.”
So many fans can relate to music in the same way, where a few notes or lyrics can transport them to a time long since past! There’s bound to be plenty of country fans who will hear ‘Springsteen’ in a few years and remember what they were doing in 2012.
It’s a special song and that’s why it nabbed the nominations, and Church doesn’t take them lightly. “If you’re a musical artist, the Grammys are pretty much the Holy Grail,” he said. “Because it’s all genres, it’s everybody, it’s peers. That’s why they are revered the way they are – you know, they’re the Grammys.”

Don't know what took me so long, but I love, love, love this guy. (And it doesn't hurt that he is dueting with Keith on Raise 'Em Up!) My boss is a country music fan and he always plays Eric's music when he is the office for the day. Just found out last week that Eric will be at the First Niagara Centre in Niagara Falls, NY on May 1st. Boss and his girlfriend saw Eric with Dwight Yoakum in Toronto last November, and he said the girlfriend isn't as big a fan as he is, so I told him if he wants to go I'll go with him! lol The boss' girlfriend does have one huge plus in her favor - she is a huge Keith Urban fan! ha ha
