Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow was traded to the NY Jets in exchange for draft picks, though the trade hit a language snag regarding a $5 million "recapture" situation where the Jets would have to pay the Broncos extra for the trade. The St. Louis Rams could acquire Tebow is the contract snag isn't resolved.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN - the money snag hasn't been resolved and now the Jacksonville Jaguars - Tebow is a Jacksonville native - are in play to get him.

The trade was of course completed and Tebow is now with the Jets, ostensibly as Mark Sanchez's backup but almost certain to become the starter.

Well, a year later a lot of assumptions proved unfounded, and now Tim Tebow is a player without a team.
