The Jayhawks - Mockingbird Time (Rounder)
The Jayhawks regrouped to put out a new disc. Marc Olson co-wrote all songs with Gary Louris, who produced. Other original band members featured on the record include Karen Grotberg (keyboards, vocals), Tim O'Reagan (drums, vocals) and Marc Perlman (bass). The 12-track album is the first full-band studio release featuring both founding members Louris and Olson since 1995's "Tomorrow the Green Grass."

George Strait - Here for a Good Time (MCA Nashville)
This is George Strait's 39th album. The Country Music Hall of Famer co-wrote 7 of the 11 tracks with his son Bubba and songwriter Dean Dillon. Strait co-produced the album with his long-time friend and legendary producer Tony Brown. It was recorded at Shrimpboat Sound Studio in Key West, Fla., the same studio where Strait recorded his last three award-winning albums.

Connie Smith - Long List of Heartaches (Sugar Hill)
Connie Smith returns with her first disc since 1998. She had her heyday in the 1960's and 1970's with a bunch of hits. The new disc was produced by husband Marty Stuart. The couple wrote 5 of the 12 songs together. Songs also come from long favored Smith sources such as Harlan Howard, Foster & Rice, Kostas, Johnny Russell and Smith's longtime collaborator Dallas Frazier.
Various Artists - O Brother Where Art Thou - 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition (UME)
The 10th anniversary edition of the surprising breakthrough disc, "O Brother Where Art Though," will contain a second disc of songs not in the original hit movie. The disc gave renewed energy to the career of Ralph Stanley and brought prominence to Dan Tyminski, for singing I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow.

David Serby - Poor Man's Poem (CDBY)
When we last heard from Left Coaster David Serby - 2009 - he recorded the honky tonk disc "Honkytonk and Vine." His new disc is not honky tonk, but instead more squarely in the Americana, rootsy sounds with acoustic guitars, accordion, mandolin, banjo, dobro, fiddle and harmonium dominating the sounds among the 10 songs.
Luke Bryan - Tailgates & Tanlines (Capitol Nashville)
"Tailgates & Tanlines" is Luke Bryan's follow up to his Gold-certified "Doin' My Thing," which produced three back-to-back, co-penned number one singles- Do I, Rain Is A Good Thing and Someone Else Calling You Baby. Bryan co-wrote 8 of the 13 songs on the new disc, including Country Girl (Shake It For Me). Bryan penned the song with Dallas Davidson. Mark Bright and Jeff Stevens co-produced the disc.
