Michael, I'm not sure what that really means but I keep my internet simple so most of what goes on passes me by. I read my email....you know I'm addicted to my daily comic service and have been for years now. I'm subscribed to about 70 comic strips a day through mycomics.com. Then I scan the headlines online for the WSJ, RealClearPolitics and Real ClearPolicy. Then I see what links are on Mike's blog and read them. Do a bit of googling for whatever topic is on my mind for the day. By that time I've had my Ipod shuffle on for quite a while and I go to youtube and pull up some links for whatever has struck me in music for the day. Sometimes I won't have my Ipod on so I'll go see what's new on the various charts or I'll go to Amazon and see what the new music and artists are and see if there's anything that would be fun to explore a bit further. Or I'll have new music I'm excited about. You can tell I'm 55....I like my habits. ...and, of course, I pop in and out from this board to see what's up with you, Jeff, Mike, Miranda, Kim, Holly, Tina, Jane, Kora, Jodie and Laurie. |

I've been thinking about you Michael and wondering how you were. I've been known to disconnect myself and I understand the need to find some quiet time from time to time. It's a very healthy thing to do. The music will bring you back when it's right for you. Don't think I won't be setting out road flares in the meantime though. Now about this birthday of yours....you are only months older than I am. I'm 55. We still have a long way to go on this age thing. Mayhaps we're only halfway there. and Michael.....HAPPY :)BIRTHDAY |

There you are Michael. Big ol' Texas sized hugs sent your way. The magic carpet video was a hoot. I saw an Egyptian Pharaoh walking down the street the other day. The weather has been a mess. Austin and San Marcos flooded yesterday. Houston got it late last night through this morning. A tornado in San Marcos yesterday and a few here today. It's calm now. Happy Halloween Michael. Howdy folks...have you ever locked your keys in the car or misplaced where your wallet was...or just lost direction in your life?
Well from time to time I have...this is one of those times...I don't think that I am alone either...we as a people are in the same boat.
Our government is lost...but not our leaders...if that makes any sense at all...our government is not our leaders...just figureheads.
Just consider for a moment our presidential candidates for next year...do you really think that we would give our keys to them?
I don't believe that for a moment...I might let them drive for awhile while we ride in the backseat...but in no way will they choose where we go.
This may seem like a lot of rambling but if you read between the lines I think that it will make sense...I hope that it does anyway.
Folks we know better than to put our trust in other mortal men...we put our trust in the faith of the lord...no matter which religion you believe in.
There is but one divine being that we follow...as a worldwide lord and savior...not just an entity...not Muslim...not Christian...not Hindu...etc.
The power lies in each and every heart...it the freedom to feel the presence of a universal love that we all feel and share.
Kinda like music...I let the screen door shut behind me and now I feel left out ...country music has changed from what I love so much.
There is so much exclusiveness in the world today...so many different groups that are all inclusive...so many locked doors.
Weather you know it or not...we are headed for a holy war...why? I think it is because we have to...we are forced into it.
As you know...Isis is hard to find now...because they have left Syria in droves...militants dressed in sheep's clothing.
Remember the Trojan horse...it is simple to see if you look at it from the Lords perspective...as if I know...I know nothing.
All I really know is that we have been infiltrated by folks who want to harm us in unimaginable ways...in the name of their God.
We will not be overcome by this ...we will survive...all religions will go on...no one religion will ever truly win .ever.
I know that I should simply speak of Taylor Swift and her music...it is a true comfort...there is weakness in being too comfortable though.
I wish that I could have seen her live on this tour...I was unwilling to drive 12 hours roundtrip to watch the carnival that it has became.
I mean ...I would have driven much further than that to watch her and her guitar...what happens in translation is very confusing sometimes.
Music along with politics along with everything else seems to have lost its direction...one thing remains the same...pure love.
So I will just focus on what makes my spirit feel good...that is love...all the other things are only speculation and opinions...love is truth.
Love will carry us all forward into the direction that is our true destination...we all leave this world with nothing but our past...if even that.
It is strange that we come into this world as equals and depart the same way...no one is richer or poorer...healthier or infirm...we are the same.
So with talk of War...Isis...religion...politics...and of coarse Taylor...and last but not least love....just remember this is only my opinions and ramblings.
We will defeat evil and have good music while we do it...it is time to sharpen our swords and let our brethren know that they will be safe...with love!
