I am done with the Season now...for obvious reasons.
I am looking into the benefits of being a courior...sounds like a great retirement gig.
Is this how to just chat?
I need to cut out a board to level out where I will set the tub...insulate...clean up then go to work...
Maybe drop by tonight!

Kora, good to see you on this thread too. : )
Yesterday was my sister's birthday so I spent a lot of time on the phone with her ...it was lovely. She's 18 months older than I am but from the 4th grade on we were in the same class at school so we've been on the same timeline most of our lives. Also did my stock up grocery shopping for January. All the stuff that we usually eat goes on sale at the first of January so I refill the freezer.
Today I'm enjoying a nice day at home. Not moving very fast but loving it. : )

Today was going alright until about 30 minutes ago.
My brother Jim died of a massive heart attack tonight.
He was 59 years old and I am totally heartbroken.
We had plans when we retired...now that will not be.
Lord please hold my brothers hand and lead him to the light.
Please realize how precious life is...this is so shocking.
As for now I will be signing off for a while.
with hopes that this forum remains a viable respite.

Oh, nashville, I'm so sorry about your brother. He was still so very young. I know you will miss him. We will be thinking about you, and our prayers go out to you and to his family.

Here it is Monday morning and it feels like a Monday morning. : )
Pretty soon I'll get out the door and go get allergy shots and run errands. It's supposed to warm up today but it's a bit chilly yet this morning.

I think I'm officially brain dead for the day and think I'll go read my library book. It's Michael Connelly's new one and it's due soon. A new Harry Bosch...love the series...have read all of them.
Painted the ceiling in son's former room today and used muscles in my arms I'm not used to using. Must be getting old. : )

I've been painting this week. 4 gallons of paint later, I went to the hardware store again this morning and bought another gallon....still need to paint the inside of the closet....fun, fun, fun....lol

Finally got around to painting the inside of the closet today. Then I took a load of stuff to the donation box from the closet so maybe I won't have so much stuff to put back in it. : )

and here it is Wednesday already. I pulled up the old tile in the closet I painted yesterday and put down the new tile. I was redoing the floors in our house when son decided to move back home a year or so ago and I hurried up and finished his room but didn't get his closet done. Still had the tiles for it but small closets are so slow to get done....have to custom cut too many pieces. But it's done now so tomorrow I can rebuild the room the way I want it to be now that son has moved out.
Doing laundry too....exciting stuff here in Houston, I tell ya. : )

Here it is Sunday and we went to Sunday school and church. Walked there and on the walk home we stopped in at Subway and had lunch. Now hubby is taking his Sunday afternoon nap and I thought I'd listen to some music.
Wonderful weather here. Was 70 even early this morning. Supposed to start raining here pretty soon though and get colder for the next few days...but for today, excellent day to take a walk with beautiful blue skies and puffy white clouds. : )
