Tuesday was good - I got a long-range run to Griswald, CT and the roads were great.

Been figuring out what to do about getting a different car. Think I found the one we want. Carmax is having it transferred across town and I can go look at in a day or two. They'll call me when it shows up.

Spent yesterday buying another car so I'm mobile again...yeah. : )
Decided on a 2013 Ford Fiesta and we named her Sally (after Charlie Brown's little sister). Our other car is also a Ford Fiesta and she's named Lucy ...also from the Peanuts comic strip.

A lot of people just call their car Betsy.We never did name our cars....just called them "the car". My grandmother named all her cows and when we lived on a ranch we named all of our milk cows, but not our herfords and the 2 bulls. With 60 head of cattle that would be a lot of names to come up with. |

I myself bought a new car last summer. 2014 Ford Fusion in sunset (reddish orange).

That's neat Miranda. What did you name her?
My new to us car spent 24 days at the dealership after I bought her before I got her back....finally got her back late last Friday. At least it was all under warranty. By the time I got her back she'd been updated with two factory recalls, a new ABS computer, a new battery, and two "fixes" by the Ford factory engineers. The last problem was dyslexia.....but, knock on wood, I have Sally back now.

I call it "The General" mainly because it's orange. Plus the Fusion is a pretty fierce-looking vehicle since the new body style. I bought it new. I had never had to buy a car before. All of my others belonged to my parents first.

No earthshattering news here. Hubby has my car at work and his is still in the shop. Probably be without it for quite a while. I've been making a list of errands for tomorrow afternoon so I won't forget anything on the day the car will be around for me to use it.
It's starting to rain here. Supposed to rain for the next week.
