It is always a relief to get your taxes finished.

Saving mine until the very last minute - both hubby and I owe thousands - so they can wait!

Taxes are done; hubby's estate paperwork done; now ironing while watching the miniseries "Backstairs at the White House". I haven't seen that miniseries. Is it good? I wonder if it's on Netflix.

It is on Netflix. It was a TV miniseries back in the day. I enjoyed it all those years ago and enjoyed it again. Its based on the book by former White House maid Lillian Rogers Clark. It covers the years 1909-1959 beginning when her mother started working there when Taft came into office and ending on inauguration day 1961. Stars Leslie Uggams & Louis Gossett, Jr. The Presidents & First Ladies are all wonderfully cast.

I can't find it on Netflix. Maybe it'll show up there again later.

My day started off with good news. Hubby's car has been in the shop for ...I don't know...pretty much two weeks now. Got the call this morning that she was finally diagnosed. She needs a new TCM (transmission control module). The part was ordered yesterday and it usually takes two days to get the part. Word is she might be fixed by Friday. Crossing my fingers and saying my prayers.

My day yesterday was quiet - my delivery job had no runs for me - ugh. Need runs.

It is always a relief to get your taxes finished. I got lucky - my tax preparer got them done in February.

That's a bummer Mike. I hope you get a lot more this week to make up for the off day.

More delays on hubby's car repair. The part is still special ordered. Crossing our fingers it'll come in next week.
I'm discouraged about it. First the transmission went out on my old car so we bought another one. Then our "new" car was in the shop for over 28 days after we had it for two days. Then it was only a couple of weeks before the transmission went out on hubby's car. Now we've been down to one car for weeks now.
I need music.

My day started out kind of bad - one big surgery case for next Monday was cancelled and one big surgery for next Tuesday was cancelled. Normally that drives me crazy because I have to spend a large part of my day trying to find replacements. However, this time it was easy. I had two people on hold - one was cancelled previously but has since been cleared by her cardiologist and was awaiting a date - and the other was an urgent case the doctor wanted in as soon as possible - so I called them up and they both said yes!
Thanks heavens! ha ha

kora - I'm a courier, and I deliver whatever they ask me to - usually medical stuff. Today I had lunch and drank a diet coke with a straw - does that mean I suck?
