Oh, that hurts! Don't you have to pay interest or a penalty?

I get over $1,000 a year back on my taxes - they just withhold it.

It isn't - they just withhold it until that debt they wanted from that 2008 mistake gets paid.

Today I drank a Diet Coke with a straw and used my vacuum cleaner.

My day really sucks.

Sorry about your day. When they stop withholding your back taxes, you can go on a long vacation and live it up. I always have to pay, so glad it's over for this year.

I haven't been online much lately because I've been super busy with work. Been going to a bunch of meetings, etc. Just thought I'd check in...

My day was...it had good and bad. Got to pick up Lucy (hubby's car) from the dealership finally but my car had to go in to be diagnosed. Her transmission still isn't right and now there's a recall on all 4 of her door latches. Parts aren't available for that recall yet though.

But then hubby and I went out for lunch at Zoe's Kitchen (Mediterrean food) and then did my daily walking at the mall right there. Had a great coupon for Macy's so we got him two pairs of work pants (which he really has needed but he hates to shop so it's rare I get him in the store). Pants were on sale for 40% off and then there was a 25% coupon so it was $74 total instead of $150 for the slacks.

Then it was home and there was our property tax appraisal in the mail and wow.....it double from last year. It said $4,000 but then I sat down and looked at it and the numbers didn't even remotely add up. I called to make sure it was a computer malfunction...and it was...so our property taxes for this year did go up but only by $200 not $2,000...I breathed easier again after I cleared that up.

Today is the last day of hubby's week off and he's taking a nap now. I'm doing the laundry. Hoping to hear from the car dealership in the next hour to see if they could diagnose my car. If they can, I might be able to pick it up tomorrow and drive it while we're waiting on parts (if it needs them). It's still functional but the tach is running way too high and it's got a shudder. There's no way it should be hitting three shifting between first and second. That's just plain silly.

Thanks! It was a pretty good birthday. I mostly spent it at work, but approximately 275 people wished me happy birthday on Facebook. It's always nice to see that people care.

I'm expecting to get a door latch recall on my car any day now too. I read that the recall applied to some 2014 Fusions that were built in Mexico, and I know that mine was built in Mexico. But, on a lighter note, I just paid the car off. I'm so glad to have that monthly payment off my back.
