nash - I was not familiar with Stevie Ray Vaghan and looked him up. He was a Texan and a rocking guitarist. I like the beat in the last video.
More Johnny Mathis
I think we've lost Jo. Guess she's just sticking with the radio songs. What does that thread mean and include?

Gosh...I was just cruising along and saw this thread stuck on the side of the road...slid right off the radar.
Upon further inspection I have discovered that it was all over the road ...before it slipped into a stop.
Seems if at many points it was a history lesson ...cruising in the wrong lane.
So I guess I'll pull it out...and write some tickets to the owner.
Not that I am the police or anything but someone has to do it...until Canada gets their internet up and running.
My first ticket is for not being from Texas...and not being 89 years old.
My second ticket is for having lawyer friends...and living in Colorado.
My final ticket is not knowing who SRV is...that is a towing offense.
I'll just place them right here for the owner to step up and reclaim this thread.

I keep going back to "Maria." "Say it loud and there's music playing. Say it soft and it's almost like praying.....The most beautifiul sound I ever heard.....Maria."

I love so many of the old musicals.....My Fair Lady is my favorite. ....and Audrey Hepburn was such a class act....from her wiki page: She appeared in fewer films as her life went on, devoting much of her later life to UNICEF. Although contributing to the organisation since 1954, she worked in some of the most profoundly disadvantaged communities of Africa, South America and Asia between 1988 and 1992. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of her work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in December 1992. A month later, Hepburn died of appendiceal cancer at her home in Switzerland at the age of 63

Dang it...now I'm on the side of the road...holding a bunch of tickets...kinda lost here!
That stuff is really smooth...you can still find the good stuff if you look at the charts.
Lately for the last year I have been following the charts...of the top 20...today's top music.
A lot of it is trash...the number 1 song has Bruno Mars in it...real sexist and racist...a bad influence.
Though Bruno kinda looks like Johnny Mathis...I believe that he lacks the class of the forefathers.
Maybe I am wrong...but the number 2 song is by Ed Sheeran and it should be #1 in my opinion.
The song itself is amazing...in my opinion...the video was just film of dancing. Is Ed going to be in DWTS?
This song has bit me and just won't let go...here's rooting that this song goes #1 for Ed...a cool dude.

My dad was in the clouds with his opera, symphony and classical music. I saw "West Side Story" in New York with my parents. My dad went dragging and kicking. LOL! I love to listen to Johnny Mathis sing "Maria." I also saw him in concert with my mom and aunt. I was so disappointed that he didn't sing "Maria." He said he couldn't do justice to the song and asked that we forgive him. It must be a difficult song to sing as the voice ages.

John Legend - All of Me nash - Maybe he will try Country at some point. It seems that almost everyone dabbles in Country. Maybe not Christina Aguilera. I used to love her voice when she was younger. It's sad to be a fickle fan.
