I like the extreme...ness of this song.
I heard that Axl Rose had the best vocal octaves in the business.
If he wouldn't scream all the time and never wear shorts...they might have made it.

I like this whole album from Pink Floyd....
This song is the climax of the movie...The Wall.
I noticed a Mason symbol on the ...title of this video?

nash - I've been so busy at the office that I haven't had time to even think of posting videos. When that includes my man George, then, things are really rough and tough. LOL!
I'm glad you posted more videos. Jo says she doesn't have more. I hope others will join us and post some.
Ok, now about your three videos. First I have to explain that music for me is for listening and for what the song is saying, but my preference is without visuals of patriotism, anguish of war and life's sad events. I saw Unbroken yesterday at the movies and thought it was well done about war, POW cruelty and sadism. Background music was playing, of course, but I can't tell you what I heard. Also can't resist knocking Toby Keith for using patriotic songs to get hits.
Now, about the three videos--------------
Axle - You know, I like. Some of his screaming, he could do without, but I just like him. You know how some appeal to you and others do not.
Pink Floyd - No
The third video is really interesting. Billy Rae or Brother Clyde? I haven't heard of him. I like his voice and his way of singing and his rap, and think he's good in this song. Some people don't like sad songs, but they get to me and I listen to a lot of them...only the goo ones. LOL! And this is a good on---the anger, so many emotions and feeling like nothing matters, but a gleam of hope for him in the song.
Oh, by the way, even though I like a sad song here and there, I am a happy person, yet basically serious, and can be very upbeat at times, and always very competitive. LOL!

See Kora...I knew you knew more about music than you were letting on...and believe me when I say that Jo hasn't even tapped her musical well. There once was a guy who had a hit..."Achy Breaky Heart" who is singing lead with "Brother Clyde" until the rapping part. I see that Billy Rays daughter has went off the deep end...her career has really ended...once everyone sees her rear end. Most country music fans are the most patriotic of them all...I can't think of one country artist who hasn't done a patriotic song. I'll give you a video if you can name one country artist that hasn't done a patriotic song! Though I think if I understand right.... that you might like a little humor in your political war songs...

If you like to see politicians and hopelessness...this is the video for you.
Rage Against The Machine - Testify
Who controls the past now controls the future Who controls the present now controls the past Who controls the past now controls the future Who controls the present now?
At least it is bipartisan.

Has anyone heard of the Foo Fighters...the remnants of Nirvana?
These guys will be discovered a long time from now...before their time I suppose.
So to quiet all this noise down...

Not bad...but artists today get an average of 100 mil views.

I found this information and posted it to give you the reader a better understanding of the song...

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue
"Scar Tissue"
Scar tissue that I wish you saw Sarcastic mister know it all Close your eyes and I'll kiss you 'cause With the birds I'll share With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view
Push me up against the wall Young Kentucky girl in a push-up bra Fallin' all over myself To lick your heart and taste your health 'cause With the birds I'll share This lonely view...
Blood loss in a bathroom stall Southern girl with a scarlet drawl Wave good-bye to ma and pa 'cause With the birds I'll share With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view
Soft spoken with a broken jaw Step outside but not to brawl Autumn's sweet we call it fall I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl and With the birds I'll share This lonely view...
A single off of Californication describing the struggles addicts go through to get sober and how they are viewed different when they return to reality. Scar tissue is a good comparison, as it is a sign that there was damage but it healed, and it could also refer to the healed areas where an addict used to inject them self.
Kiedis describes it as one of his happier songs, saying in his autobiography also called Scar Tissue
“It was a playful, happy-to-be-alive, phoenix-rising-from-the-ashes vibe. I ran outside with my handheld tape recorder and, with that music playing in the background, started singing the entire chorus to the song.”
This song won them a Grammy in 2000 for Best Rock Song, and peaked at #8 on the Billboard Charts.

nash - I never tell all, and Jo knows a lot about music. Compared to her, I'm Music 101.
If interested, The Foo Fighters are on Austin City Limits next Saturday on the PBS TV channel, 11 pm here, Mountain Time.
You really got me with the Brother Clyde lead singer. It's funny, but I never thought he could sing. Maybe age has improved his vocals. I went back and listened, and now that I know, he does sound a little like himself.
I can't think of a country singer without a patriotic song, but some are more inclined than others and one has the initials TK. These songs do sell.
I'm off to get ready for the Super Bowl........

I saw him years ago in San Francisco with my parents. I was just a kid. Wow...again I am surprised... Dad used to take us boys to Bovas Spaghetti house in Westminster... You wont believe it...a little adobe dump can cook so well. www.bovasitalian.com/Order the quart of noodles with sausage to go or you can actually eat there. The joint has quite the history along with another Italian joint on 34th...on my dads side. Anyways on the way to Bovas Dad would sing Dean Martin songs all the way there...and all the way back. We probably watched Dean Martin on our brand new Curtis Mathis Television radio and record player combined console stereo. Man dad was proud of that thing...but I loved the box more!

This is one of my favorite Johnny Mathis songs, from Westside Story. I saw the broadway play in New York. Mathis wasn't in it, but recorded this song and sang it in all of his concerts. I wish there was less music in the background.
