Miranda,
Every single thing about Toby's song makes me grin from ear to ear. Now that's a song that you take along with you, sing along with loudly and keep singing the rest of your life.
That's exactly what I'm talking about. Happy sigh.

I hadn't seen that video for He Ain't Worth Missin' in forever. Here is another video where toby play a bartender (and its one of my favorite videos from him):

I just wonder if singers really make videos much anymore. CMT and GAC have so little music on them now that it seems like there wouldn't be much point.

What I'm finding more and more of on youtube are lyric videos.
Here's one so you can see what I mean

Yeah there are a lot of those for album cuts that never had an official video. I miss the days when videos were a big deal and artists put a lot of work into them though. There were some great ones back in the day.

I remember those days well. They'd have a world premiere of the video.
Remember when Shania's "Getcha Good" came out?

Miranda,
I just came across this video this morning. It says it's the original 1993 version of Garth's "That Summer". I've never heard him sing it like this before. He sounds so different. The instrumentation is the same but he's singing in a raspy rock voice.
Note: I edited this post to remove the video link. In the comments under the video there was a line that it wasn't Garth singing the song in the clip. I'm sorry about that....it was definitely my mistake to not read the fine print.

I'm surprised you found that YouTube. Awhile back I was looking foR some garth songs on there and there was not a single recording from him to be found – just covers of his songs that amateurs had done.

I think some of the artists...or those that represent them...periodically yank a bunch of their stuff from youtube.
Trace's "Then Came the Night" came up on my Ipod shuffle, which I thought paired well with Deana Carter's "Strawberry Wine" and I was gonna add Garth's "That Summer" as an afterthought but decided it went with he got slotted into country music more. It was only half a fit with the other two songs anyway. In both of them, it was the discovery of young love and loss of innocence with someone their own age. Garth's song, if it wasn't fiction, might land somebody in jail these days.

I finally had a chance to listen to that Garth Brooks song you posted. It's awful. Creepy, even.

I went back to listen to it again Miranda and noticed the fine print under the video....I think it was someone else singing it. I went ahead and removed the link from my post above.
