Miranda,
It's hard for me to believe that a woman, who is on the air (radio) on a regular basis...and who was on the air talking about this right after it happened is so shy and retiring that she couldn't have held her own if she'd wanted or needed to in a simple conversation.
IMHO, she intentionally made it something to talk about because that seems to be what they do on their show. I've read some comments that Bobby is the wannabe Wendy Williams.
Personally, I always flip the channel when I turn on the tv and Wendy is on. I watched one episode because I do like some talk shows but she's not what I'm looking for.
Steve Harvey though...he's a gem. I love, love, love to watch his talk show.

I've read about Bobby Bones, but I've never listened to his show. I doubt it is even on any stations around here.
I LOVE Steve Harvey on Family Feud! He is so hilarious HA HA

Bobby Bones is syndicated on Iheart radio. I have Iheart already preloaded on our tv but I've never even checked it out. Bobby Bones is just another reason not to now. According to his wiki page, he's won the following awards:
College Radio Lamest of the Lame Worst Radio Personality (a couple of times) Best Radio Personality and Show ...but that one's from the Austin Music Awards. We all know that Austin lives on it's own planet, separate from Planet Texas. Which may be why Bobby keeps going after Texas artists who are selling well and getting mainstream attention.
...anyway, consider the source.
Steve is awesome on Family Feud. He has the neatest thing he's doing on his talk show now. He's decided that it's hard for good people to meet and find each other so he'll have a really nice woman on his show and have two great guys he's picked out for her and she gets to go on a date with one of them. Then Steve gives her "dad" advice on what she did wrong or right on the date.
...and after Paula Deen had that whole race mess, Steve invited her on his talk show and helped her spread the news about what she was doing moving forward. They had a nice time together.
He's a healer and a good man ran than someone who's playing games and tearing people down. He's a gem.
He has a program where they're sending kids to college too. He's been working on it for years. Recently he teamed with a guy who'd just written a bestseller and the guy donated a big ole check to send even more kids to college.

I've only seen his talk show once or twice. It comes on during the day while I'm at work.

It's definitely daytime tv.
Other than Steve you aren't missing much though. Ellen's show is cute but I hardly remember to watch it.
Past those two though, there's a lot of mean spirited stuff on. Did you know the Jerry Springer show is still on the air?

I cannot believe anyone still watches Jerry Springer. It's totally scripted and fake. I had a class with some people in college who went to Chicago once (where his show is filmed) and they were approached by his staff who wanted to pay them to act out a script on the show.
Jerry is now hosting a program called Baggage on the Game Show Network. It's as sleazy as his talk show. LOL

I've seen Baggage a couple of times. It's like do you want bad choice #1, bad choice #2 or bad choice #3.
There's a Jerry Springer spin off show too...that guy Steve that used to do Jerry's security. What is his name..Wilkos maybe?
There's a new show with a guy that's even worse than Jerry Springer ever was....his name is Bill something....geesh he's terrible.
Maury is still on the air too, doing the usual baby daddy shows...paternity test central.
Then there's the daytime "women" shoes....The View, The Chew, The Talk ....there's really only one point of view for all of them put together. Unless you really want to listen to Sharon Osbourne talking about how she got her vag**** tightened for Ozzy....sheesh, Sharon, TMI.

Even when we had cable and hundreds of channels, it still was. : )
TV has it's place but reading rocks.
When son was in first grade, his school had DEAR time everyday for the last half hour of the day. DEAR - Drop Everything and Read.
A couple of Saturday's ago son and his girlfriend said they had DEAR time every weekend. Guess some things from first grade stick. : )

I read the other day that this album will come out in October. I forget the exact date. It's been on the back burner for over a year now. I read awhile back that Toby has hit a rough spot in his career. Which I guess is to be expected after so many years of being on top. Toby is getting pretty old now.

I think there is a generation change in country music now.

Yeah. And I don't particularly like it.

I really love Mo Pitney, Brandy Clark and Kasey Musgraves. Honest, real music. All songwriters who come from country music culture.
I'm never going to be a fan of the faux urban movement.
