Michael,
I love the ear story. : )
When hubby's ship was in the yards I'd drop him off and he'd go through the security gate, turn around and touch his eye (I), then his nose (beep/be), then his heart (lovin), then point at me (you). He's still doing that almost 34 years later.

I think we're probably headed for inflation like it was when my mom and dad was invested in CDs heavily… were they really making 15% interest? I guess it's my turn to learn these lessons… these were lessons we already knew but I guess we have to learn them over again as a country… As a collective. Raise wages equals higher prices… It's simple math. Can you print tons of money the value of money goes down. Talk to any of the big shots and they all concur that we have to pay the piper sooner than later. I know that my liberal sisters are in for a rude awakening Michael,
We never seem to collectively learn. It is simple math and your liberal sisters are in for a rude awakening.
I have noticed that all the progressives who were going on and on and on not so long ago about how printing money was the way out of poverty have been quiet on that (false) point these days.

Sasha Stone was a lifelong far left progressives until a few years ago when her perspective changed. Basically when the Left was taken over by the even further left. Here's her recent blog post.

I am pretty sure but I am done trying to build bridges to the left… when the previous Bridges I've been destroyed buy their narrative. My home what is a hospital during the Civil War with slave quarters across the creek. During the Black lives matter movement I was encouraged to burn my place down in solidarity… when I voice my opinion about that I was banished... All I can say is who is banishing who now.? My therapist which I'm thankful to have suggested more than once did I just walk away… And forget them… could be the hardest path I've ever traveled but it seems to be the only way now.

What the holy heck? ? ? It would be insane to burn down any building, much less your own home for any reason. The c r a z y people who want to destroy things can just go fly a kite.
You're smart to never listen to that ....mess ....
For the first 30 years of my life I thought of myself as liberal. Until one day I was on the other side of the "purity" line and saw how they really are. That was 30 years ago. I've never really been sure where I fit since but I've been a fiscal conservative for all of my life. I'm not sure that was even really a choice I made but rather the reality of being born working poor and continuing on as working poor for the first half of my life. By then my economic life patterns were set.

Oh yes this was at the beginning of the Black lives matter movement cross the nation... It was at the height of the rioting… and mischief in the inner cities. My sister was a protester in the Vietnam war and her son is a protester during this ...whatever it was. He got his car destroyed in Denver by fellow protesters which upset them dearly. When I mentioned it was the price to pay when you play that's when they mentioned that I should burn my home down because it was in the Civil War. To me it was just an evil attack during the time when evil ruled for a summer. Very soon after the black population discovered that they were being exploited by these white liberals… the white liberals shut it down. You don't hear anything anymore about the movement. I don't know who is controlling us mess but all they did what is destroy Poor peoples neighborhoods… the people in the neighborhood was trying to protect their grocery stores from these white hoodlums. After the damage was done they went back to their suburbs and slept in a nice clean bed all black lives suffered yet another indignity. They should be ashamed and outraged at themselves… and I think they are. I followed a similar path as you..I once thought I was a liberal until they became too demanding... Always wanting me to hold the door and pay the tab with nary a thank you at the end. What can I say but... bless their pee picking hearts.❤️

Michael,
Oh my gosh. I had no idea it was your sister that thought you should burn down your house. You are smart to steer clear of her.she sounds likes a very destructive person.
There was a big turnout here for the George Floyd funeral because we live in his home town. Tens of thousands of people marched through the streets. Leading the parade with the people was the then Houston police chief. Then the next day was the actual funeral and the Governor of Texas and a lot of official people all attended.
We didn’t have the rioting or the looting. It was, sadly, a superspreader Covid event that took nearly a year before our over the top numbers began to start to go down. On that wave.
Covid is still here but it’s low level now.

So now I guess we can rewrite history and change everything… I'm afraid that if history is deleted... We are bound to make the same mistakes over and over again.

Michael,
Rewriting history is a mistake. It’s as if those who choose to do it don’t give a hoot about truth. Truth matters.

I read somewhere recently that A1's answer to questions about truth is that there are multiple beliefs held by many different people.

I just asked AI hey give me the definition freedom and truthfulness. It came back wanting me to pay 19.99 a month. So that leaves me to define the Word of truth.… Way I see it only. Truth is the feeling you get inside when you tell it… It makes you feel free. When you tell untruths... it's like wearing shackles without a key. Take that AI!😂
