Taylor Swift will be going dark for the Brit Awards in London next week (20Feb13) after wowing fans with her all-white circus stage set at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (10Feb13).
Costume designer Marina Toybina, who created the singer's look for the Grammys, started work on costumes for the Love Story star's showstopping Brits spectacular on Monday (11Feb13) and reveals the London look will be the "yin to the yang" of the singer's most recent awards style.
She tells Wenn, "Taylor will be going much darker for the Brits - there will be a lot of black. It will be like a part two to what we did for the Grammys... but that's not to say we'll be creating another circus onstage. It will look different."
And Toybina reveals both Grammys circus ringleader and black widow looks will be incorporated into shows on Swift's upcoming tour, which begins next month (Mar13).
She adds, "Her album is called Red and so fans can expect a lot of white, red and black onstage."
Meanwhile, the designer reveals it took her and 15 stylists, sewers and dressmakers 10 days to create the costumes for Swift's Grammys stageshow.
She says, "It was exhausting. We didn't get much sleep for a week and a half. But it was all worth it when we saw the end result and the look on Taylor's face made all the effort worthwhile. She was so excited."
Swift took the stage with her band, 14 dancers and seven speciality circus acts to open the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

WASHINGTON — Music superstar Taylor Swift has an unlikely fan in Republican Rep. Tom Price.
At a National Review breakfast Friday, Price enthusiastically noted his taste for country music — and, when pressed, named Swift as his favorite country artist.
"I'm a big Taylor Swift fan," Price said. He added with a laugh, "Don't tell anybody."
Price enjoys Swift's music more than her dating preferences, however: She recently dated Conor Kennedy, one of the noted Democratic clan.
"I prayed when she started dating a Kennedy that that would end," said Price, who is a prominent conservative voice in the House Republican caucus.
Update: Price has seen Swift in concert too:

Country fans have found a favorite song from Tim McGraw‘s new ‘Two Lanes of Freedom’ album. ‘Highway Don’t Care’ — a collaboration with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban – is the track that’s creating the most buzz on the internet in the days since the project’s Feb. 5 release. Suddenly, there’s an epidemic of creative fan covers on YouTube.
As is the case with the platform, maybe of the fan covers are less than extraordinary. We’ve dug through dozens of videos to find the most creative, most talented and/or most, ummm… unique up-and-coming artists.
‘Highway Don’t Care’ Guitar Cover — Multi-instrumentalist Seth Griffin may or may not be able to sing, but he clearly thinks he plays guitar better than anything else. Watch him tear through Urban’s licks and solos with flawless precision.
‘Highway Don’t Care’ Boyband Cover — We’ll let you decide for yourselves if this cover by ‘Joel’ is any good. It’s certainly a professional cover, complete with a full video. That’s quick work putting it to YouTube just days after the album became available.
‘Tim McGraw’ / ‘Highway Don’t Care’ Mashup — An artist who calls herself CheesePoncho mashed Swift’s debut hit ‘Tim McGraw’ with the collaboration from McGraw’s Big Machine debut. Both songs seem to use similar song structure, or at least this YouTuber modified one to mash with the other. Either way, we give her big creative points.

Taylor Swift Sued Over Scrapped Hoedown Festival!
Singer Taylor Swift is facing legal action after allegedly keeping a $2.5 million (£1.6 million) advance for a Canadian concert which never took place.
According to a new lawsuit filed in federal court in New York, the Love Story hitmaker was handed the money upfront after she was booked to headline the Capital Hoedown show in Ottawa last August (12).
Organisers ended up scrapping the country music festival and Swift is accused of failing to return her payment.
A spokesperson maintains Swift did not make a deal with ticket company bosses and tells Tmz.com the star has not yet seen their complaint.

If there’s one thing to know about Taylor Swift, it’s that she doesn’t do anything on a small scale. Like, ever. She goes big on all fronts — and her 2013 Red Tour won’t be any different. In fact, the ‘Begin Again’ singer plans to up the ante from her last tour in the live realm. And what that boils down to is that Swifties are going to be very, very happy.
“I like for it to be big — as big as possible.” Swift tells Billboard of her vision for the tour in support of her new album, ‘Red.’
So, how does she plan go big? For one, the 22-year-old superstar insists that she wants people to leave with the memory of the show forever imprinted in their minds. “If we can make a show that dazzles people more than the last tour, then I’ll have done my job in the right way,” she explains.
Swift is also considerate of the fact that her fans spend their hard-earned money on her shows, so she wants to give them their dollar’s worth — and then some. Money spent at a Taylor Swift show will be spent well.
“I just want to be able, in this economy, to make a show that for fans is definitely a guarantee that they will be entertained enough to warrant them leaving their house, spending their evening with me, parking their car, waiting in line, maybe buy a T-shirt,” Swift reveals. “I want them to be so happy that they decided to spend their time with me — I think that’s my biggest objective. And the element of surprise is still really important in a concert and showing scenes and images and visuals that are magical. I really like to take people to a different world and change things up constantly, never showing them too much of the same thing too many times in a row.”
With that approach to performing live — with entertaining fans at the forefront — the 2013 Red Tour should be quite a treat.

Hey, nash and tru, please stop fighting. I thought we left that behind at the CW boards. If one of you says something the other doesn't like, just ignore it and enjoy what you're posting.

Of coarse she would spend all her time talking about who else...George. Hey nash, does your wife mean The Cowboy? LOL! If so, she's a smart lady. LOL! Oh, by the way, I was looking at your Taylor Portraits, and you have some nice ones. You have one of George with his hands on his cheeks that you say he must be imitating someone getting an award. I asume you're kidding. I think this photo is from his current tour in Oklahoma City back in January. LOL!

Just so everyone is aware of what has happened -
Trufan has been removed from the board. She sent me a message a couple months ago saying she didn't want to be part of this board because she didn't want to associate with Nashviller (sorry Nash) - and I told her I respected her opinion but that she was a grown woman and should know how to just ignore someone she doesn't like. She didn't post for a while and I figure she had just left. I then noticed that she was reading and I thought maybe she would come back and post with us, however, her posts in the Taylor Swift thread were posts that were meant to incite an argument with Nash. I warned her about stopping this on numerous occasions, but I see that she just kept on and on pushing Nash's buttons. I won't tolerate that from anyone - if you don't like an artist that is fine - but please don't go into their thread making nasty comments about them. We are all adults here and there is no place for petty fighting.
So when I logged on this morning and saw her mesage asking me to remove her from the forum that is what I did. I also removed her posts and any posts that quoted her and commented back.
I really dislke doing this as we are all adults, and as Kora said, I thought we left the arguing with the defunct CWO. I don't want that kind of stuff here, so I have removed her.
Hoping we can let this go and continue on posting because I think we have a great group of people here and I'm looking forward to posting with you all and hopefully getting some new posters here.
Thanks everyone
Kim

I feel badly about the conflict yesterday Kim...Tru and I may be too much alike in some respects. I'll just leave it at that and continue plugging along.
