If you're going to tune in to any part of the Grammy Awards telecast Sunday night, the first few minutes seem like they'll be pretty entertaining. Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of the awards, tells ABC News Radio that Taylor Swift's big opening number will be quite the extravaganza.
"What's really great about Taylor is that as she's grown over the past several years, she's become much more interested and much more aware of wanting to do bigger and bigger productions," says Ehrlich. "So, she's got both stages of our double stage going, and she's got a stage full of people." He adds, "It's probably the biggest production element in the show and it's gonna be very exciting, and it's great to see her continue to grow to this level."
Aside from solo performances like Taylor's, fans will also see unique musical collaborations, like Miranda Lambert teaming up with Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown teaming up with a big group of performers for a Levon Helm tribute and Taylor Swift's pal Ed Sheeran duetting with Elton John.
"People now come to expect that from our show," says Ehrlich of these "Grammy Moments." "And artists now are very open and receptive about doing it, because they really look at it as an opportunity. It's not something that they can necessarily do on other shows, that say to them, 'OK. Just come on and do [your] hit.'"
"When I listened to them, there was this incredible commonality that, to a point where, when I mashed 'em up and played 'em together just to kind of see how it felt, there were a couple of places where I wasn't sure which song I was listening to," he explains.
While acknowledging that staging a telecast of more than three hours, with 19 musical performances, awards being handed out and huge egos everywhere, is "incredibly difficult to do logistically," Ehrlich tells ABC News Radio, "The human part of it -- the talent booking, the creative part of it, the music that's created by our artists -- you know, that's the joy of it. "
So overall, what can viewers expect from this Sunday's telecast, which airs on CBS at 8 p.m. ET? Says Ehrlich, "What you can expect is three-and-a-half hours of things that you probably won't see anywhere else."

Tim McGraw - Highway Don't Care Feat. Taylor Swift and Keith Urban youtu.be/qIA8gBKFSQQ
Is ‘Highway Don’t Care’ one of your favorite tracks from Tim McGraw‘s ‘Two Lanes of Freedom‘ album? If so, you have modern technology to thank for the colossal collaboration between the superstar, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
The blending of the vocals and instrumental track on ‘Highway Don’t Care’ sounds as if the three acts spent an unlimited time together in the recording studio, but fans would be interested to find out that none of them actually stepped foot in the same room at the same time in the process.
“Thank God for modern technology because everybody is so busy,” McGraw confesses (quote via Country Music Tattle Tale). “I could just shoot over the track to Keith and he could lay his part down and Taylor could do the same.”
But would ‘Highway Don’t Care’ have benefited from in-person interaction between the track’s three featured musicians? McGraw doesn’t think so.
“It’s hard to say, but I don’t know how it could be any better,” he gushes. “I knew I wanted Taylor from the very beginning, and Keith and I have been trying to find a way to work together for a long time. This was the perfect song for all of us.”
“I’m a big fan of both of those guys. I think Taylor is just a really special artist for all of music. And she’s a real shining light in our industry,” McGraw furthers in an exclusive interview with Taste of Country. “And I think Keith Urban is one of the most talented guys around. I’ve always been a huge fan of his as an artist and a singer, but his guitar playing I think is second to none. He’s one of the best guitar players out there. To have him play guitar on my record is just something special.”
In our review of McGraw’s new studio album, we concur that ‘Highway Don’t Care’ is one of the standout tracks. ‘Two Lanes of Freedom,’ which impacted on Feb. 5, serves as the singer’s highly-anticipated debut Big Machine Records release. The McGraw/Swift/Urban song is already at No. 2 on iTunes Top 10 most-downloaded country songs, just behind Swift’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble.’

Grammys Preview: Taylor Swift Plans To Avoid Carrie Underwood, Why?
Though Frank Ocean is going to win every award, it might be worth tuning in to the Grammy Awards this Sunday (February 10, 2013) if only to witness the possibility that Taylor Swift might bump into fellow country star Carrie Underwood. According to an insider, Grammy executives have been ordered to keep Swift, 23, and Underwood, 29, "from crossing paths." Their reason? "They hate each other!"
The feud appears to have begun when Underwood and Brad Paisley mocked Swift's split from Conor Kenned while hosting the Country Music Association Awards in November. "The greatest trade of the year had to be the Kennedy family. They somehow traded Arnold Schwarzenegger for Taylor Swift," Paisley joked about Swift dating the 65-year-old bodybuilder's nephew through marriage. When Underwood whispered in his ear that the young couple had split up, Paisley feigned disbelief "What? Why don't I ever hear about these things?...I'm the last one to know. Are they ever gonna get back together?" Underwood, of course, said, "Never, ever." The whole thing was rather cringe-worthy, but was enough to get Taylor's back up, according to the insider. A source close to the singer - known for writing songs about her failed relationships - told US Weekly magazine, "Taylor feels Carrie is always rude to her, so she steer clear of her."

It's set to be a big night for Swift in particular, who will open the show at Los Angeles' Staples Center on Sunday." What's interesting is we presented this performance to the Grammy committee . . . and they said, 'Okay, cool, you have a performance spot.' And then like a week ago they call us and are like, 'Oh, by the way, you're opening the show," Swift told Ryan Seacrest Thursday. Despite her prominent live slot, it's unlikely that Swift will walk away with anything too prestigious at the biggest night in music, with Frank Ocean, FUN, Mumford & Sons and Goyte likely to lead the charge for the major prizes.

Taylor Swift Opens 2013 Grammy Awards With ‘Alice in Wonderland’-Themed Performance!
Country-pop superstar Taylor Swift opened the 2013 Grammy Awards with her smash hit ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.’ The young star presented a huge production number inspired by ‘Alice in Wonderland’ — a visually impressive performance that played very well on television.
Clad in white and with thigh-high boots (‘Dominatrix in Wonderland’?) and a top hat, Swift strode the stage with confidence, delivering her vocals apparently live — and at the risk of having a scathing song written about this review, that seemed apparent because her voice was weaker in the live element than on the studio record. We’ll chalk it up to nerves. “I hope that I don’t nerve out,” she said earlier in the evening as she walked the red carpet.
Still, this was exactly the kind of production that serves Swift’s talents well. She is undeniably a musical entertainer, and that’s exactly what the song delivered, was an amalgam of musical and visual candy. There were so many people onstage that it tended to distract from the weaker elements of her performance, while the large number of backing vocals tended to bolster her own sometimes-shaky voice. The result was a performance that revealed why Swift is so effective as a headlining stadium act.

The song’s spoken-word middle section referenced the Grammys, and may have also contained a veiled attack at recent ex Harry Styles, as Swift delivered it in a faux British accent.
Swift and the Civil Wars already won the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media with ‘Safe and Sound,’ from ‘The Hunger Games.’ She is also nominated for Record of the Year for ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.’

Taylor sticks to her word of 'making fun of her exes' - from the night she started dating the One Direction singer to his entire wardrobe
She really doesn't mess around, does she?
Taylor Swift has a history of embarrassing her ex-boyfriends and Harry Styles appears to be the latest victim in her new music video.
The pretty singer was pictured recreating the iconic Dirty Dancing lift – a move she mastered with the One Direction singer on the first night they got together.
But it seems that Taylor is already over the sentiment and isn’t holding back when it comes to mocking her relationship with Harry.
They were inseparable during their brief fling before Christmas and on the night they hooked up at an after-party following One Direction’s headline gig at Madison Square Garden, New York, the popstars were caught on camera attempting the famous lift.
Harry's technique is miles better than her mate
Taylor, 23, was filming the video for new single ‘22’ on a beach in Malibu and was styled with Harry’s famous look.
Wearing a matching green beanie and cream jumper, she’s not exactly subtle when it comes to directing the song to her ex.
In the opening lyrics, she sings: "It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters / And make fun of our exes, ah ah, ah ah."
And these hurtful digs have featured on Taylor’s first day on set which can only mean more bad news for Harry.
Did she actually just steal his clothes?
While they were dating, Harry appeared to copy the tattoo of Taylor's male companion in the official video for Trouble.
On Sunday night, Taylor opened the Grammy Awards by performing her catchy tune We Are Never Getting Back Together (or WANGBT for fans of acronyms) – complete with what appeared to be a dodgy impersonation or a certain 1D star.
During the spoken part of the song, Taylor told the millions of viewers: “So he calls me up and he’s like ‘Ah still love you.’”
“And I’m like 'I’m sorry, I’m busy opening up the Grammys… and we are never getting back together!'”
It's not the first time Taylor has embarrassed an ex when appearing on TV.
In 2009, she referenced her split from singer Joe Jonas during an appearing on Saturday Night Live. She said: “Hey Joe. I'm doing real well. I'm hosting SNL.”
Which basically settles any debate over whether or not she was directly indirecting the One Direction star (get it?).
Poor Harry. And to make things even more awkward - they come face to face with each other next week at the Brit Awards in London. Amazing.

Taylor Swift graces the cover of Elle magazine’s March 2013 issue looking vintage-hip, sporting a geometric yellow dress and slick-straight hair. Inside the cover, she loosens her poker stare a bit, chatting about — what else — but love. It is true that Taylor has plugged a sweet tater in the mouth of her tru critics!
Swift has been more open than ever about heartbreak and relationships ever since her tell-all ‘Red’ album hit store shelves in October. And the conversations have only been fueled by recent breakups with flings Conor Kennedy and One Direction‘s Harry Styles.
Remember, 23-year-old Swift is not one to read the gossip columns every morning — but she can guess what tabloids are saying about her based on what her fans ask her.
“I’m sure if I looked up the latest Google Alerts rumor it would say I’m chasing somebody who doesn’t like me as much as I like him — people love that angle on me,” Swift shares. “They’re like ‘Oh Taylor, coming on too strong again, chasing boys. I never chase boys. They don’t like it.”
When Swift’s Elle interview took place, she was in the thick of her hot romance with Styles. That’s over now, but even then the ‘Begin Again’ hitmaker was talking breakups, giving us all a peek inside how she deals with them.
“I don’t think I’ve ever yelled at an ex-boyfriend. Ever. I’m not a yeller. I’m not a fit thrower. When it’s done, it’s done. There’s nothing that really needs to be said,” she insists.
As far as whether or not the songstress has ever really been in love, the verdict’s still out.
She noted that she has experienced “versions of love that weren’t the love. Love mixed with infatuation. Love mixed with comfort, and like, settling. Love mixed with a dangerous level of mind games. Love mixed with too much competition.”
Wonder which category Styles fits into? Our guess is love mixed with too much competition. Either way, don’t feel bad for Ms. Swift. She hasn’t found her one true love yet, but she seems to have a good attitude about it.
As she puts it, “I need to live in a world where the best love is ahead of me, not behind me.”
We have a hunch that her prince charming will find her someday.

Taylor Swift reminds me of Valentine’s Day. I have been listening to Taylor Swift lately. It’s like I’m 14 and going through my first break-up. I’m not going through a break-up. But I’ve felt like it the past few weeks.
It’s February. It’s cold. I’m super grumpy, ask anyone. Plus, Taylor is on my mind because she is having a moment right now. In the final episode of 30 Rock, Grizz promises to do anything Tracy wants, except hate the new Taylor Swift album (“That girl has feelings!”). And when Jess breaks up with Sam on New Girl, she “just wants to listen to Taylor Swift alone.” She opened the Grammys that nobody watched with her catchy new single.
Taylor Swift is shorthand for straightforward adolescent angst. But she is also a critically-acclaimed songwriter and performing artist. She’s both. And that is why she reminds me of Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is so on the nose! My heart is yours so I am going to literally give you a cardboard heart. We love each other so much let’s wear red and drink red wine and eat some red meat at Chez Restaurant. And is there anything more cliché than a bouquet of red roses? Red roses are the Taylor Swift of flower bouquets. As in I totally like them but I’m ashamed to admit it. Taylor Swift’s new album is called “Red” and she has been wearing red in a lot of her appearances and performances along with red lipstick. We get it Taylor! And yet, I really like that “Begin Again” single. And red roses are genuinely beautiful. And did you ever hear “Safe and Sound” featuring The Civil Wars? It’s heartbreaking. I can’t figure out why I am drawn to this blonde girl and her music. And I can’t figure out why I can’t hate Valentine’s Day as much as I feel I should.
Taylor Swift Valentine’s Day is happening. Get on board.
I see the argument against Valentine’s Day very clearly. Do we really need a day that reminds all of the single people out there that they do not have any reason to wear that hideous special edition red rhinestone Victoria’s Secret bra? Isn’t it enough that coupled people try and set you up with the only single people they know with little or no explanation? (Well, you were single and he was single so I thought why not? So many reasons why not, Lisa. So many reasons.) For couples, every day is Valentine’s Day. Every day is a bicycle built for two and if you are floating around single like dandelion fuzz you will be treated like the weed you are.
But I feel that there is nothing wrong with a day that encourages us to express to the people we love that we love them. My favourite Valentine’s Day was with my friend Zahra. Her boyfriend was busy and I was incredibly single so we went to Oyster Boy and sat at the bar. We got a private oyster shucking lesson and shared a ceviche that I still remember. We saw Measha Brueggergosman there and debated over whether it was really her or not.
“I think it’s her.”
“Well, go ask her.”
“She is having a nice meal with her friends I will not interrupt Measha Brueggergosman to ask, ‘Hey are you Measha Brueggergosman?’”
“It’s not her.”
“It is.”
There is nothing wrong exactly with a day built for couples, with all of the Valentine’s accouterments available for sale in red-strewn stores. It’s not wrong, but it is pretty annoying. Especially if you’re single. And there is nothing inherently wrong about Taylor Swift. No matter how many music critics say artists like Taylor Swift are killing music, music finds a way to live another day. Everyone who thinks Valentine’s Day is an overly-commercialized love bastard is right. But that doesn’t mean it’s wrecking love. You don’t have to celebrate Valentine’s Day if you don’t want to. You don’t have to listen to Taylor Swift if you don’t want to. But she’s hard to avoid. She’s going to be on the cover of a magazine or her songs will be played on the radio somewhere where you are. Like Valentine’s Day. You’re not going to be able to escape it, or get that song out of your head, as much as you shake your fist and tell it to get off your lawn. Taylor Swift Valentine’s Day is happening. Get on board.
