I absolutely love this video clip...and so does Taylor! youtu.be/HLI4EuDckgM Seems that a lot of her older fans started a secret society just to get away from the haters. folks there don't take themselves so seriously...you know life is to short to hate...or too long to hate and too long to not love...errr you get the picture...I hope!

BOLD & BEAUTIFULVa-va-voom! Taylor Swift continues to amp up her sexy style after splitting from ex Harry Styles, as evidenced by her arrival to Wednesday's Brit Awards in London. I really love Taylor's hair in this photo.

I really love Taylor's hair in this photo. Nice to hear from you Jo...really is. When I saw Taylors new video and commented about it to my wife...she said it was a wig...then click...back to "The Big Valley". Then next thing you know she has this hair...it gives me something to strive for...growing my hair! Don't know if it would look good on a guy or not...we might see. It seems as if the Taylor Nation has gone underground...I suppose they figure they would rather enjoy their music without so many peoples opinions...like it should be. So Jo...how the heck have you been! I hear Brett Elderedge is opening for Taylor...hopefully in Tulsa!

nash,
So sorry you feel you have to leave. Maybe you need to grow thicker skin. LOL! IMO, the board grows by having variety. I hope you decide to come back.
As for Taylor, I don't think of her as country, but she carries the label. Personally, her style and voice don't do it for me, but I still find her interesting, and love the photos you post.
Think about it and come back and talk about Taylor, if that is what you want. I will miss you.

Taylor Swift¡¯s Popularity Not Waning, Scott Borchetta Assures
By Christina Vinson tasteofcountry.com
There has been recent speculation that Taylor Swift¡®s glorious moments of fame are up, especially after many outlets reported that the ¡¯22¡ä hitmaker¡¯s magazine covers were bombing on the newsstands. However, Big Machine Label Group CEO Scott Borchetta douses those pesky rumors with a few statistics of his own.
Borchetta tells ¡¯CBS This Morning,¡¯ ¡°As far as her popularity waning, there¡¯s no sign of that anywhere,¡± and points out, ¡°She¡¯s the only artist in the last 15 years to have over two albums debut with over a million in sales in the first week.¡±
¡°We have the biggest sales in the world right now with her, and you have to remember, when you have that much love, there¡¯s going to be haters, so bring on the haters,¡± he protests.
It¡¯s clear that the label head sees ¡®red¡¯ when Swift is involved, and he comes to her defense based not only on statistics, but also his personal observations, as he has worked closely with the 23-year-old for years.
Borchetta, who works with fan-favorite country acts such as Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts, believes that Swift¡¯s personal traits will work in her favor, buoying her incomparable rise to stardom. ¡°She¡¯s extraordinarily determined,¡± he concludes. ¡°She¡¯s really wired for this moment, things she does naturally. It¡¯s not like she has to wake up and say, ¡®OK, it¡¯s time to be Taylor.¡¯ That¡¯s who she is. ¡ She¡¯s extraordinarily driven, and she ¡ª like any great artist honestly, they have a vision for how they want to look and sound and there¡¯s a specific, meticulous vision that we all work with her on.¡±
Well, whatever vision Swift has for herself seems to be doing the job, as ¡®Red¡¯ has earned triple-Platinum accolades and she has earned more money than any superstar her age. Popularity waning? Not quite.

Happy to see you back, nash. We need variety here, and you add your own type of it, which is good. Don't worry about what people think of Taylor. I don't worry about what people think of George. Speaking of George, I bought the special CW magazine and it's a real keeper. CW did an excellent job covering his life and career.

You are very kind Kora...George did a great job on the ACM's...hope you watched it! I think he would have did better without Garth on his second number. It looked like he had a lot on his mind...he was almost in tears it seemed to me. I bought the US magazine with Taylor on it...cost 10.00 and havent even read it yet. OMG she is taking a beating over this. I guess she deserves some of the things being said...but gosh...I have never seen so much meanness. Makes me want to change genres or something. I suppose she isn't country ...we deserve to be kicked out I guess. A lot of her fans like country music but I am starting to like Western music a lot more...they been making some good stuff that has been passed over. I 'll be back after my wounds heal.

Totally agree with you Kora - it's good that we all don't like the same artist(s) - that would make it a very boring place. Variety is the spice of life! I think we can all learn something from each other about the various artists in the country genre!!

Nash - I did watch the ACM's and George did ok, but I've heard him sound better. The sound system was screwed up during his solo and he couldn't hear when to start singing...LOL...and he had two concerts the night before and they don't usually end until around 11:30. So, to me, he looked tired but, I'm sure, wanted to do the tribute to Dick Clark. Was it Garth you were referring to who looked close to tears? I was out of the room a couple of times and missed Taylor talking about her ex. What did she say? With her high profile, they all just wait to throw in a dig. That's what you have to put up with when you're a celebrity. About her being country, you know that I think she is not country, but there's so much non-country on country radio now that I don't know why they single her out. I hardly listen to country radio anymore. If I want country, I want country. If I want pop, I want pop, and so on. The lines are blurring now between genres. Hope your "wounds" heal soon so you can come back and talk about Taylor...LOL!... or anything else.

Hope your "wounds" heal soon so you can come back and talk about Taylor...LOL!... or anything else. Ah...Us Swifties heal pretty fast...lol I suppose that any news is good news. When George was singing "The Cowboy Rides Away" I sensed that he was singing his last live T.V. performance. I wondered if he was...in a way. BTW my niece and her daughter traveled to Albuquerque from Kansas City to see George on April 5th and saw ABBA Saturday 4/6...she said it was a super weekend of shows. I am off off this Friday and am tempted to pick up a couple last minute tickets for Little Rock...we will see. I watched the ACM's pretty closely and they didn't mention Taylor in any stage presentations ...no word at all. All the EOTY nominees got to perform their hit singles...Tay got to perform with Tim and Keith...so that is good enough. The vibe of hate throughout the forums would make me want to pack it up...if she does stick around that will prove her tenacity. Actually a lot of her music on RED is pretty country sounding. She does a lot of stuff acoustically when performed live! I ran across a guy I used to drink with when in the Navy stationed in Jacksonville Fla...I think Jo knows about Mayport. Anyway Jimmie Van Zant would come in the bar"Kentucky Wonder" and we would race chugging beers. I accused him of riding the coat tails of his cousins...we would get drunk and arm wrestle and tussle around all the time...all in good fun. I just found out that he is still in the game and e-mailed him calling him an old cut off Zant...lol he still remembers me. Here is his new video...I asked him why he got so ugly and I got so purty...it must be the music that we listen to...I didn't mention Taylor...he would probably say something bad...then I'd have to go down there again...maybe I should! lolwww.youtube.com/watch?v=lOsqpG5QswQ&feature=player_detailpage

My eyes are all dilated up right now...seems that I have a wrinkle on my left eye...I'll get a Yag laser surgery procedure in a couple weeks to clear it up. It always gets me to thinking that if I ever do completely lose my vision I will always have music. I will be able to write and create...the older and worse shape that I get in...the more that I go through...the better I'll become. I need to rest...love and peace...Maybe drink me a diet coke when I get up...I doubt it cause I don't drink coke and I'm not on a diet! youtu.be/NqZLWUetLWg Oh well Taylor gives me faith...that's all that I can ask of anyone!
