If you can round up Michael that would be yet another blessing. I've gotta say it again because I'm so happy, Merry Christmas Happy to be here! How was your Christmas?! I hope it went well, mine was pretty good.. Getting a little cold here again though, kinda makes me sad  oh well, I'll survive! It was bound to happen sometime haha and I'll definitely do my best to track, Mike down! It's kinda weird, I wrote him twice this week and no response yet, so maybe he's just busy, but I'll keep hunting! Haha Merry Christmas again, Jo! I'll be back later <3 |

I do so hear what you are saying about the weather Jeff. Today it's warm here but we're supposed to drop 50 degrees on Sunday and get severe storms. Just hasn't gotten here yet. My sister lives in Kansas and she says they're getting it Saturday and they've predicted sleet and then 6 to 10 inches of snow on top of it. We had the loveliest Christmas. Went to church late last night and it turned midnight just as we were ready to sing Silent Night with just the candles we were holding lit. They turned the lights out. It was really peaceful and filled with love. Today we had Christmas lunch with our son and then opened presents. I got music, books and from son's fiance a wall art sticker that says "Together we are a family". I just love her so much. She's the daughter I never had. She had an uncle coming in from Taiwan today (she's Chinese) so she went ahead to her sister's house and son joined her there later. We'll see her tomorrow though when we eat lunch with her and son. You know I've gotta ask you....did you get something Taylor related for Christmas? Let me now what you find out about Mike. Hopefully things are okay. I worry about him. Then I tell myself that I take long breaks too and he'll be around again when it's right for him. I just, selfishly, want it to be now. Sending hugs Jeff....I'm so glad your back. I missed you. |

Awe man.. hopefully, it misses you! It's actually stormed here (in Michigan) a few times, which is extremely rare. I'm not that old, so I can't say it's never happened haha but it's never happened in December that I'm aware of.. all these strange weather patterns everywhere are kind of creepy! That's awesome to hear! I'm glad you enjoyed it.. it sounds really peaceful and unique. Though, I have to say if I were to hold on to a candle for an entire service, I'd be super nervous, that I'd drop it, so I'd be paranoid the whole time haha but it sounds great. That's so cool. Nothing like getting to spend time with all your family like that, it's really the best gift you can receive. Everything else on top of that, is just an added bonus. It's funny as you get older how your perspective changes, for me when I was younger all I thought about were toys and things * like every other kid, but I found as I entered my mid-late teens and 20s, I started really seeing life for what it is and I have to say nothing is more valuable than moments, those things that can be replaced or experienced again, just cherished while they're in front of you. My only regret is wishing I knew that earlier. I did actually! I got a Taylor calendar. Still not opened yet, but it is in my possession, so that's good enough for me. I feel like I'm turning into a Tay-related hoarder! Haha Mike is a really good guy and I think about him a lot too.. hopefully everything is fine and it's just a holiday type break, but one can never know for sure. That's the scary thing about friends online, they can come and go, without really any warning and you just have to hope it's all okay, which I'm sure in his case.. he's fine. He'll be back. Hiya Jeff, The weather has missed us. Dallas and up north weren't so lucky but here we just got drizzly rain. You would have been okay with these candles. They had a clear plastic cup around them so wax wouldn't drip everywhere so if you had accidentally dropped one, it wouldn't have been a big deal. What would have been a big deal, IMHO, are all smiles, handshakes and hugs you would have gotten after communion where people greet each other with "peace be with you" until everybody has said it to everyone else in church. There are a few kisses on the cheek in there too from some of the older people. It's all very sweet and relaxing. There are all kinds of churches. Ours is a Presbyterian but more than the name of the church, we are a servant church. Where we believe in serving others as well as serving God. You'd fit right in Jeff. I saw a Taylor wall calendar in Sam's Club a while back. I picked it up and looked at the pictures on the back. Our girl was looking mighty fine...as usual. That's an awesome thing to get....now you have her right there on your wall all year long. What could be better? Well, maybe that and more Tay...but it's awesome. I worry about you when your gone too Jeff. I know we all get busy and you have special physical challenges on top of that. Just don't you ever think that I'm not thinking about you when you don't post...your one of us and that's always gonna be true from now on. You are a true blessing. I don't know what's going on with Michael. He's posted how hard it's been at the VA for a while now and I read that in the military publications I get also. I sure hope it's getting better for him. |
