Levon Helm always reminds me of James Hand.
James just won in the male honkytonk category of the Ameripolitan Music Awards. Amber Digby won female honkytonk.

Michael, On Living Without Laws - Slab City ....you should have given me a heads up on the cute, cute, cute puppies...the dogs were great too.  The people...how great is it to live in a place where the people like each other, have free hot springs and have beer scooters. I'd have to trade in my subcompact car though....you'd need some four wheel drive with all that sand. |

The Yodel has been mostly forgotten...could you imagine yodeling with the technology of today?

You know that there were some bands and artists that belonged strictly to my folks generation.
Then there are some artists that they seem to have handed off to me...like Merle...Ray Price and Don Williams.
I think that I'll play a few this morning...
