No link for this one but a very good update!!!
'Red' tour ticket sales in 2013 beats Beyonce, Rihanna Taylor Swift is topping the charts when it comes to ticket sales and fans couldn’t be prouder. Recently 23-year-old country singer sold out 11 shows at the Staples Center offering a new performance record at this iconic venue in Los Angeles. Taylor Swift is also dominating the competition when it comes to singing for the masses. According to data released by StubHub, the artist is so popular she is leaving her competitors in the dust. In an exclusive for Examiner.com on Thursday, StubHub spokesperson Alison Salcedo revealed some amazing numbers surrounding Taylor Swift’s music in 2013.When it comes to StubHub ticket sales, Taylor Swift is the top-selling female artist, followed by Beyoncé, Pink, Rihanna, and Carrie Underwood. Swift’s fans are coming to her performances by the carloads as they love her music. In fact Taylor has sold twice the amount of tickets to date as Beyonce, the second-highest top-selling female artist. Wow! That’s amazing!Putting the numbers into perspective, Taylor Swift has sold more tickets in 2013 than Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and Selena Gomez combined. Yes, that’s a lot of tickets! So is there a chance Selena Gomez or other young female artists can top Taylor’s impressive numbers before the end of 2013? It’s doubtful. The exclusive data reflects that Swift’s fans have shown the star some serious appreciation for her music and being it’s so late in the year, it looks like Taylor Swift will be number one in 2013 when it comes to ticket sales.Taylor Swift’s Red tour continues to travel the United States and according to the artist’s website, the shows left are already sold out. After the final performance in Nashville on September 21, the star gets some well deserved time off. Then she and the band packs up and heads to Australia in November for another leg the Red tour.

Hey nashviller,
It's simple. The new generation of country fans likes Taylor's sound. Country music is changing, so don't be surprised. LOL! Some of the younger ones in my office are Taylor fans, but none of the people in my office like what I call country music. Isn't that weird! LOL!

Actually I thought Nashville and country music kicked her to the curb...left her at the pop stop...Slammed the door on her tail. Winning this award from all the best country songwriters in the country is totally strange indeed. They have nothing to gain by letting her win 6 in a row...beating out Alan and Vince along with a multitude of great songwriters. I never knew what would happen when I gave her those 100 songs that night. lol Did I ever share my RED Tulsa concert experience with you all here? Long story short...Ron and I had excellent seats right up front. It was full of tennie boppers...the usher gave us a hard time...and we gave him one right back. With two songs left he had the Tulsa Police escort us out for tresspassing. Ohhhh wrong move...I griped and complained online so much that the supervisor of the Oneok at the BOK Center gave me 2 tickets free parking and 40 bucks in concession tickets. I chose the sold out concert of the Eagles. It is tonight the 9th and my wife is so excited to see them. We are leaving as soon as I get off work today. I couldn't figure out where the seats were...they are in the Oneok suites...the fancy smancy seats! I'll keep you posted after the show...just another example of what happens to people that are fans of Taylor. I mean if I griped to an artist that was not so popular I would probably still be crying in the gutter.

nashviller - I always thought that you were a naughty boy. LOL! Good for you and your wife, though, with the Eagles tickets. From what I've read, Taylor does treat her fans well, and that really counts. As far as Nashville throwing her out, don't count on it. Music is blending now and, more importantly, she makes money for them, and they will play her on copuntry radio as long as she brings it in. In fact, she is played everywhere, on country radio, pop and elevator stations, in elevators, at my dentist's office, Walmart. You name it, everywhere you go, you hear Taylor Swift.
This is her time. I also understand she will be in a movie.
As for me, I'm a happy gal. I will see George in Vegas in February. Great seats!

nashviller,
P.S. Miranda Lambert will be his guest opener. Maybe I'll go out for a beer while she's on, and I don't even like beer. LOL! Sheryl Crow and LeeAnn Womack will be two of his guests. Why couldn't he have one of them instead? Just my luck. LOL!
Oh, don't think I've ever mentioned it, but I saw Taylor when she first came out and opened for George. She said he watched her perform and told her later how good she was and that the crowd liked her. She sang her Tim McGraw song there.

I just don't care for Aldean at all. My WISH is he would have Merle Haggard! I've never seen Merle in person and missed a chance to see him in Austin awhile back. He had come and gone before I even knew he was here.

Kora,
I just came from George's website and it shows Merle Haggard and Lee Anne Womack as his opening acts. If that's the case....you are so lucky!......in my opinion.

Thanks Kora and Tops...The Eagles were awesome...really cool. It was called the history of the Eagles concert. They started from the beginning telling stories about how they started and all. When Joe Walsh came on he rocked the house...they still harmonize and play as good as ever. Loved it. As for Taylor I believe that the CMA's are going to treat her well. They have a special performance of "RED" you may have heard about it. The TS education center at the CMHOF is pretty awesom too. When I think she has reached her peak she climbes even higher. I am so glad that the youth of today has an actual nice person to look up to. She is taking dance lessons every day now and believe me it isn't to learn how to twerk. lol
