Well folks it looks as if Taylor Swift has officially left country music...I really can't believe this. I suppose the years of abuse has finally gotten through to her that if people don't like you...you should leave. So to Miranda...and Carrie...best wishes to y'all...you should have had her back. I now need to find another diamond in the rough to support!

Nash, I just read about Taylor in Yahoo a few minutes ago:
Country Music Association Says Goodbye to Taylor Swift ET Online By Antoinette Bueno 2 hours ago
Taylor Swift and The Country Music Association break up.
It was nice knowing you?
When Taylor Swift made it very clear in her Yahoo Live stream Monday that despite her country roots, her fifth album 1989 is her "first documented, official pop album," The Country Music Association responded shortly after with a tweet of their own.
"Good luck on your new venture @taylorswift13! We've LOVED watching you grow! #TaylorSwiftYahoo," the tweet read.

Though presumably because some of her fans took the response as a not-so-subtle dig at the "22" singer, they have since deleted the tweet.
But those following Swift's career have had to see this coming -- the first single from her new album, "Shake It Off," is indeed unabashedly pop, which should come as no surprise given that its produced by Max Martin and Shellback, the team behind the 24-year-old’s other genre-crossing hits "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble."
Just last November, The Country Music Association presented Swift with its prestigious Pinnacle Award, given to an artist who has achieved worldwide success and recognition that's unique to country music.
Country legend Garth Brooks was the only other performer to ever win the award.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You know that Taylor has never been country, but it doesn't matter since country has changed. If she had not said her new album was pop, she would still be listed under "Country." It's crazy!!!! I still think country radio will play her.

Thanks Kora...I don't know how someone can really leave country...if its in your heart...its always there...always. Although I remember when I were her age I went through a lot of changes...actually I still do. I listened to a ton of Southern rock...then classic rock...then country. I somehow dodged disco and missed the glam rockers...fortunately. I lost a lot of time listening to music...or gained a lot of knowledge by reading the album jackets. I ran with the crowd that would rather gather at someones house after school and spin record than stay after throwing some ball....that's just me though. Have you ever watched "The Patty Duke Show"? youtu.be/qQTqKcojrVYSomehow that song just came to me...even though everyone plays their own tune we are still cousins...like it or not...that's life. Have you seen the new Rolling Stone Magazine...OUR girl is conquering the world! I figure when she is my age she will want to settle down somewhere nice and quiet...like right here! lol

Still do, mostly classic rock, and I also like some of the older hard metal. Surprising, huh? As for Taylor, don't think she will return to country, unless it suits her purposes. She doesn't have the country roots or the background. . Taylor is on a roll, now, and trying to expand as far as she can. Can't blame her. Sorry, don't watch Patty Duke and haven't read Rolling Stone Mag

I totally agree with you Kora...BTW...Rolling Stone branched out with RS Country...just in time to wave goodby. I really think she will be back on album #6...she is missing the warm country family!

Hey guys...I thought you might like to see what Taylor could have sounded like if she had stayed country. I suppose that she chose the right road on Pop ...according to sales of over 1.4 M in one week...the first week sales is not even over yet! I do know that she brought a lot of attention to country music....check this out... youtu.be/wyLTuYFISZQ?list=PLMVbuf2RUICEoUbyQSFEZPd7VGRsP3JUPHey if anyone from the old stomping grounds country weekly forums sees this...please respond...I miss you all badly. I know that music is the string that binds us in someway...but I feel more of a connection that has been lost than looking for new ones. Kinda like the Dierks Bentley song...check it out... youtu.be/zV40NzkqJrw ! Oh did you check out those Fergie's siblings from Australia??? Now if Tay could sound like this... youtu.be/iahdbci_mP4... I bet she would/could put some pumpkin pie in some dirty pie holes! What gets me is that this site is so nice...lets use it and party like it is 1989!!! >>> www.mtv.com/news/1983143/taylor-swift-1989-album-platinum-record/ <<<

Hey fellerettes and fellers ...I just heard that Taylor Swift misses country music.
She secretly sneaks away and sings country songs...well more country than what is put out today.
I think that she totes around that Ganjo along with her boots...what country girl wouldn't?
I know that she longs for being an artist rather than only a product...like Elvis.
I know that she is first in line at the popcorn machine...but what she really wants...
is to watch the rest of the movie sitting on a hay bale...who would have known?
