Wasn't there a movie called Gorky Park?
I've never read it but I've heard the title a bunch of times.
Let me know how it is....mayhaps I should put it on my list. : )

There was a movie, but both the book and the film came out before I was born.

I finished the Harry Bosch book a few days ago. I really enjoyed it. I plan on reading the whole series eventually.

I picture Bosch with thick black hair and a beard. I dont think the book I read ever told his oh physical description though. How do you envision him?

Small...since he was a tunnel rat in 'Nam. Probably clean cut but with wearing old suits. The man is forever broke and Edgar is the snazzy dresser. : )
Why thick black hair and a beard?

I don't know. He just seems like the kind of guy who would have thick black hair and a beard. And also wearing a black leather jacket. LOL

That is why I have always enjoyed reading more than movies and television. Very few times do movies and television ever cast a character the way I would view them in my mind. But on rare occasion sometimes they do better than I could. Like with Raylan Givens. He was a book character before he was television character. He doesn't look the same on TV as how he is described in the books. He looks WAY better

I like the Harry Bosch series. I'm now reading J.D. Robb's "Festive In Death." A narcissistic gym trainer is killed, was full of himself, had lots of women and left them, also used date drugs. The main characters are Lieut. Eve Dallas and her billionaire hubby Roark.

Gotta give Tom credit, he did Jack proud but come on, Tom is a short guy and Jack Reacher, in the books is physically huge...more like Trace Adkins.

So...if there were a movie...who would you cast as Eve? Roarke? Mavis? the rest?

Jo - I've never thought about who would be good to play them in movies. You know, it's really strange but I rarely watch a movie based on a book I've read. Don't know why. Maybe I get an image of a book character and would feel let down by the actor in the movie. Who knows???
Speaking of Eve Duncan, I used to think Nora Roberts made her too strong and ovebearing and I was starting to get annoyed. In the last few books, I think she started to tone her down a bit, and that's good, IMO.

Well I've been reading the pretty little liars series. It's for teenage girls but I got straight up hooked. Now I have two books left to go before I finish the whole thing. LOL
