I just finished reading The Girl on the Train. Best fiction I have read in a long time. Now I'm ready to read Ted Cruz's book. I read Girl on the Train over the summer. I liked it at the time, but now I don't remember much about it.

Just finished a re-read of To Kill A Mockingbird for book club. Still wonderful. Did you read Go Set A Watchman?

I've read Greg Iles before but gave his books up years ago. The last one I read gave me nightmares.
I just got a couple of Linda Lael Miller books from the library yesterday. Haven't started them yet.

I've read a few Greg Iles books in the past. This is one I am currently reading is a sequel to another one called Natchez Burning. There are several books that have this character named Penn Cage in them. Iles is not one of my favorites but I do like to read him once in awhile.

Book Club is moving on to The Book Thief. I read it over the summer and really enjoyed it. On a personal level I'm about to start Going Vintage. No idea what to expect, but it looks like a bit of brain candy.

I saw yesterday where they are going to make the book "Room" into a movie.
I read that....sometime along the way. Very intense. An excellent read.

I'm reading After The Storm by Linda Castillo. It's the seventh in the Kate Burkholder series. (She is a former Amish woman who is now a cop. Sounds weird, I know, but all of the books are good)
I'm thinking about reading something scary for Halloween. I've got a John Saul book that I purchased from Goodwill called the Blackstone Chronicles that sounded scary. I think I will read it next.
afger that I want to get back into reading about the mafia and I am currently looking for some books on that subject

Seems like all my magazines came at once so I'm reading them now and am in between books.
Currently in my pile of magazines are:
Texas Music (I'm about done with it) Mental Floss Real Simple AARP AARP Texas Country Farm & Ranch Living Complete Ipad for Seniors (more of a how to but it's pretty boring so I just read 5 pages a day of it.)

I read mental floss articles on Facebook when they pop up. They have some interesting stuff. You can also get all their articles on Apple news.

My hubby is the Mental Floss fan but since we already have it, I read it after he finishes it. They have some really cute stuff. Also some stuff they claim that is factual that actually isn't. If your reading for humor though, you start with the presumption that they take license to make it more entertaining.
