Jo - I've never thought about who would be good to play them in movies. You know, it's really strange but I rarely watch a movie based on a book I've read. Don't know why. Maybe I get an image of a book character and would feel let down by the actor in the movie. Who knows??? Speaking of Eve Duncan, I used to think Nora Roberts made her too strong and ovebearing and I was starting to get annoyed. In the last few books, I think she started to tone her down a bit, and that's good, IMO. It just cracks me up that Nora has Eve going on about those little phrases that are so common but Eve never gets them and says them just a little bit wrong. It makes her softer and more fun.

Hey - We three read a lot of the same authors. I'm probably lagging behind you two in the newly released ones, though. I haven't read any Marlowe. I think Stone Barrington is supposed to be the cat's meow and ultra suave, and I don't feel that way about Spencer.
My next book will be John Grisham's "Grey Mountain." I'm still reading books released around October/November 2014. Told you I was lagging. LOL!

Let us know about the Grisham book, Kora. I'm on a waiting list for it. I've read a lot of his books. My favorite is The Last Juror.

If you like suspense/thriller type books with a mostly female cast look into author Danielle Girard. She did the "Rookie Club" series as well as a couple of others.

Isn't he the guy who wrote the Godfather books Miranda?
Today I'm reading April's American Legion magazine. Spent too much time cleaning our garage today...haven't read much.

Yes, I've also read a couple of his other books besides the godfather. And there two godfather sequels and a prequel that were not written by him. He's deceased now.

Great books stand the test of time.
Great movies too. Have you ever seen "The Grapes of Wrath"? I never thought much about Henry Fonda before that movie but he was a truly wonderful actor. His kids have done well in Hollywood but Henry was the true talent.

Definitely a classic.
When I was a kid, we were allowed to check 4 books out at a time from the public library. Since I read a book a day, that wouldn't keep me through the week so my mom let me use her library card too...so I'd get 8 books every week from the library.
When I got to "Gone With the Wind" though, it took me a whole week to read it.
I would sneak out of bed in the summer, when it was still light outside, and read my book by the window until I couldn't see anymore. We always had an early bedtime because my parents wanted us up early in the mornings to get stuff done.
I love reading.

I've read Gone With The Wind five times. I love me some RHETT BUTLER. He ranks up there with Raylan Givens in the upper echelon of fictional men LOL
