Thursday and a plane full (over a million) of N95 masks are on their way from China to the US for medical personnel. Yeah!

Wish we could get some! I work in healthcare and my hubby works in our hospitals emergency department - we need them desperately!

Thanks Jolene! I've been very fortunate that this is the only thing that's happened to me medically wise throughout my whole life. I've been very blessed!
As for the little lizards...no I haven't seen any, but I've only been outside one time and that was in our back yard to take a picture of our Bluebonnets. We have a really good crop of them. At one time our front and back yard was like a sea of blue. They were beautiful! We have some in the front yard this year, too, but more in the back. We never did plant any...GOD planted them. We were the only one in the neighborhood that had them, but eventually the seeds from ours spread to our neighbors.
Stay safe Jolene!

I've been thinking about you and remembered you worked in healthcare. I sure hope masks and other PPE is headed your way.
Let us know how you are doing. Stay safe.

I'm picturing all those beautiful bluebonnets in your yard and I LOVE that GOD planted them. You've put a big smile on my face thinking about it. : )
Oh my gosh, the lizards. Since we only have online church this month I drove to the church this morning to drop off our offering. There was a lizard on the car door when I went outside. I blew at him to get him to move and he scampered to the windshield. I figured he'd jump off at the first corner but he held on to the windshield wiper until I got to the church. Didn't see him on the way home so I'm thinking he got off there.
Today my happy is that I got to hear from both you and Kim. So awesome.

Saturday ...and I found a new link yesterday that breaks down peak hospital resource needs by state.
This particular link only covers the US but I'm guessing Canada would have something similar.
Here's the information for Texas since Jane and I both live in Texas.
We have 32 days before peak resource use on May 6, 2020.
17,221 hospital beds will be needed out of 28,633 beds available
2,568 ICU beds will be needed out of 2,259 beds available (shortage of 309 beds)
2,055 ventilators will be needed
My *guess* (and it's only a guess) is that we will likely still be socially separated until late May or early June. One youtube person I've followed for awhile lives in Fairfax County, Virginia (close in DC suburb) and she said yesterday their date was until the first week of June. Virginia is supposed to peak later than we are though...on May 20th.
New York peaks in 5 days on April 9th. They have fewer beds available to begin with...13,010 hospitals beds available and 718 ICU beds.
Houston (where we live) has the Texas Medical Center which has 61 institutions which include 21 different hospitals. It's the largest life sciences destination in the world. In addition to Americans who use the Center, over 18,000 international patients are treated there each year.

Sunday morning and I'm looking at the New York data from the link I posted yesterday.
New York state ran out of ICU beds on March 18th. They are projected to have enough ICU beds available on April 30th.
They ran out of regular hospital beds on March 25th. They are projected to have enough regular hospital beds again on April 26th.
So 5-6 weeks.
Please keep the folks in your prayers.

Monday morning...and I've been binge watching last year's season of Married at First Sight on Hulu. They have four couples again this season and I'm crossing my fingers for all of them but it never seems to work out that way at the end of the 8 weeks. Hoping for two out of the four couples. The other two couples....one husband didn't even tell his family he was getting married and a wife in another couple seems to be a bit ....I don't know....like she expects everything to be deep and forever on day one. I think she decided how a lot of things were supposed to be before she ever met her husband.
Hope you Monday is filled with good weather and warm hugs from those you love.
